to the latest edition of Prestige, our company magazine The last twelve months have continued to be challenging where the property market is concerned, especially in the capital. However, in the somewhat niche market in which we specialise in what are prime areas of South West London the factors that have constrained the market in other parts of the city do not seem to have had such an adverse effect. We are experiencing a better market than would be anticipated from the somewhat negative media coverage. Nevertheless, it is certainly true that, as I write, the residential market is continuing to be price sensitive and that if you are serious about selling your property, as opposed to just testing the market, it is important not to be over ambitious when it comes to pricing. Some vendors have not always achieved their, or even our, expectations where sale prices are concerned and it has become increasingly difficult to predict market trends. However, that is the nature of the market at present and until the uncertainties surrounding the brexit negotiations in particular have been resolved this is likely to continue to be the case. In our heartland of Wimbledon the Village Sales office sold nearly £200 million worth of property in the last 12 months of which 22% were properties in excess of £4 million each and 9% of properties were between £6 million and £9 million. in the same period our Wimbledon Lettings office achieved record results.
