to the very first issue of Perry Bishop and Chambers At Home. We are delighted with the result and hope you are too.

In this issue, we feature some of the beautiful homes currently for sale via our branch network - six offices helping people on the move across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. There’s also an introduction to our dedicated Land and Development team and specialist New Homes department, who bring to market individual plots, development sites, buildings for conversion and a range of brand new properties to suit everyone’s budget.

Spring is in the air and we are anticipating a healthy Spring and Summer market as the days become lighter and longer and our towns and villages, against the backdrop of the wonderful Cotswold countryside, look even more appealing. If you are thinking of a move, now really is the best time.

We are so fortunate to live and work in this desirable region, which to some extent has been cushioned from the economic challenges that have recently affected other parts of the country. Properties are holding their value and indeed in certain areas we are seeing prices rise. The Cotswolds and the Vale of the White Horse continue to be a big draw for buyers moving out of the Capital, as well as those looking to retire to this beautiful part of the world. Having an office in London ensures that we are able to tap into this very important market. Interestingly, however, some two thirds of those on our buyers’ register at Perry Bishop and Chambers are already based in the area. They are people looking to move for lifestyle reasons - perhaps for a smaller garden, lower maintenance costs, more space for the children or to be closer to local amenities.

We are proud of the fact that on average our clients achieve 99% of the asking price and, thanks to our dedicated sales progression team, the majority of sales and purchases are completing in just under 100 days – much lower than the national average. Now we have completed our Cotswold branch network - opening our sixth branch in Stroud in the latter part of 2017- we are extremely well placed to assist anyone looking to sell and/or buy in our region. Perry Bishop and Chambers is one of only a handful of independent Gloucestershire agents that boasts a dedicated land and development service. Land owners, large national house builders as well as smaller local developers all benefit from Land and Development’s services, as well as individuals inspired by the likes of Grand Designs to build their own home. The plots they market vary greatly in size, from a patch of land at the bottom of someone’s garden to a brown or greenfield site large enough to accommodate either a housing development or LD O S commercial estate.
