ASPECTS Spring/Summer Collection 2021


Welcome... Hello and welcome to the latest copy of Aspects Magazine. The team have thoroughly enjoyed putting this Spring edition together which is packed full of available properties from all of our offices, new homes developments and some interesting articles, including the launch of our virtual valuations service, that we hope you enjoy reading. The daffodils are starting to appear and the days are getting longer which is a welcome relief that Spring is finally here after what has been a long and very challenging Winter for many people. At this time of year, we expect to see the property market starting to gain momentum after winter, which is traditionally one of the quieter times of year. This year however, Rightmove has seen its busiest January on record and have recently announced that this is the strongest spring sellers’ market in the past decade which we are definitely experiencing here on the ground. The lettings market has also remained very active with both first time and portfolio landlords taking advantage of the buoyant market, low interest rates and high rental demand. This is great news for sellers as property demand outweighs supply and our teams continue to work hard to support our clients with their property needs, particularly with the latest announcement from the government that the stamp duty holiday has been extended until the end of June with an additional extension for homes up to £250k from July until September. On top of this positive news, the Chancellor also announced a new Mortgage Guarantee Scheme, designed to help buyers get on the property ladder with just a 5% deposit on properties up to £600k. As the Covid-19 vaccine rollout continues at pace here in the UK together with Boris’s roadmap to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions, we hope that it won’t be too much longer before we see some familiar faces back on the high street and venturing into our offices again but until then, we remain open for business with all the necessary precautions in place to keep our customers and staff safe. We have quite a special anniversary coming up in the next couple of months and are looking forward to sharing more with you all very soon. I hope that you and your families continue to stay safe until we meet again.
