What’s Ahead in 2011? “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” - NIV Isaiah 43:19 Only God knows the future. He and He alone can tell us His will. We find His will when we walk in complete obedience to him (Romans 12:2). On January 2nd we had a day of prayer. Our goal is to let God know we are serious about seeking Him in all things. On January 9th, we will begin to lay out the vision I believe God has given Trinity Baptist Church. It is imperative that we have as many people as possible attend these services. If you have family and friends that are wondering what Trinity is all about, this is an excellent time to invite them. May God bless you as we seek to serve Him in every way.

Trinity Communication “Even in the case of lifeless things that make sounds, such as the flute or harp, how will anyone know what tune is being played unless there is a distinction in the notes? Again, if the trumpet does not sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle? So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.” - NIV 1 Corinthians 14:7 We want you to know what’s going on. Here are three of the key ways we communicate here at TBC.

1

Trumpet - One of the most important ways we communicate what’s going on at Trinity is through our monthly news letter called the Trumpet. You can receive the Trumpet through e-mail or it can be mailed to you. If you are not receiving the Trumpet and would like to, please sign up at the Information Center in the foyer on Sunday mornings.

2

Web: tbccayce.com - At our website you can listen to sermons, help people come to Christ, read the “Pastor’s blog” and much more, including Facebook and Twitter!

3

Worship Gatherings and Sunday School - Of course nothing can replace being on campus to really know what’s happening. Especially if you want to know about ministry opportunities in our community, you need to be part of a Sunday School Class. Eddie Coakley John 3:30

Guatemala Mission Trips Trinity Missions has two trips planned for Guatemala this year. The first is Guatemala Extreme and is scheduled for March 18-25. Guatemala Extreme is a rugged backpacking expedition into the mountain country of Guatemala. We will be sharing the gospel and conducting a feeding ministry in four primitive villages. The second is June 23-29. This trip will include many different opportunities including medical ministry, VBS, feeding ministry, shoe ministry, and construction. To sign up for either one of these trips or to get more details, contact Micah in the church office or by email at mmerchant@tbccayce.com.

WPHM 73.1-“We Praise Him” These are the CALL letters for the Music Ministry of TBC. It’s not a real radio station, but just our way of getting information out about the Music Ministry. Stay tuned! All of us involved in the music ministry want to thank all of you who attended and supported the Christmas Events. It is a privilege and honor to serve our Lord in this capacity and to lead you in worship through music. Our prayer is that you were encouraged in your personal walks with Christ and challenged during the Christmas season to make everything about Jesus - the reason for the season. As we enter a New Year, the musicians are being challenged to reexamine their commitments to the Music Ministry and to make it a priority to be at rehearsals and to not only be prepared musically, but spiritually as well, to lead in worship. It’s an awesome and tremendous responsibility to lead fifty-two weeks a year, but what a blessing and joy it is to share with our church family through one of God’s greatest gifts, MUSIC! You are invited to participate in any of our areas of music. We have the Worship Choir which leads on Sunday mornings, the Orchestra, Youth Choir, Children’s Choir, Preschool Choir, and Bells of Praise (hand bell choir). All of these groups lead in worship during the year at different times. Please contact Melanie or Jeff if you are interested in any of these places of service. We would also like to challenge you this New Year to make corporate worship with the body of believers a priority. There’s nothing more encouraging and fulfilling than to be with the Body of Christ participating in worship. Come with prepared hearts ready to worship together to bring honor, and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is going to be a great year as we seek to become all God wants us to be as individuals and as a Church. - Melanie Shull Music Associate
