Stockport’s Giant Leap Frog Art Trail
he main project in 2019 was Stockport’s Giant Leap Frog Art Trail – the biggest family fun event Stockport has ever seen and driving unprecedented footfall across the town centre with huge numbers visiting throughout the summer months. A fantastic, engaging, interactive event involving local businesses, residents, employees, visitors and community groups – absolutely anyone and everyone – with immense social and economic impact while showing off all the great changes that are taking place in Stockport.
Town Centre Security
own centre security remains an important item on Totally Stockport’s 2020 agenda. The Storenet / Nightnet radio system is 50% part-funded by Totally Stockport to ensure that reports of incidents are instantly relayed between the businesses and any perpetrators dealt with swiftly. The Business Watch monthly meetings have proved popular among BID levy-paying members. Business Watch provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing and an effective aid in combating petty crime. *Business Watch meetings are held on the second Tuesday of
alternate months and are open to businesses with the BID area: *Email reminders will be sent to BID levy paying members confirming venue. Information is also shared among stakeholders and agencies via the DISC system, a secure, online crime reduction partnership administrative system introduced by Totally Stockport and based on an App used as a hub to share intelligence on banned individuals, crime trends and identification-sought images. New for 2020, we are working with our town centre partners to launch a Town Centre Exclusion scheme.
