Stockport S Shorts
tockport has an abundance of beautiful, historical buildings, great feats of architecture and a maze of stairways and alleys that hold the key to a fascinating and somewhat racy past. A place where imaginations can run wild which is why Stockport is such a popular location for many film makers covering many genres. As well as attracting the cast of Peaky Blinders and playing home to ITV series Scarborough, areas around the Market Place and at the railway station have recently featured in the popular Netflix series The Stranger.
At Totally Stockport we believe everyone has a film inside them and have launched Stockport Shorts, a short film competition.
Shortlisted films will be screened at a special event on 20th May 2020 at The Light Cinema in Stockport. Winners will be announced on the night. You don’t need any fancy kit – just a camera and a phone will do but if you do know Stephen Spielberg then that’s cool too. LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Can you create a short film that lasts just 5 minutes?
