Objective

To obtain a position as a Production Assistant at BP Films that will allow me to put my extensive documentary production skills to work and perpetuate the history of Newport Beach through documentary film.

Education

Chapman University, Orange, CA. Anticipated Graduation: May 2012  BFA in Creative Film Producing. 3.7 GPA.  Minor in Leadership and Organizational Studies.  Courses include: Documentary Expedition: Machu Picchu, Peru. Cinematography, Visual Storytelling, Writing for Documentary, Location Film.

Related Experience

Festival Intern May 2011 Cannes International Film Festival. Cannes, France.  Interned with Lightening Entertainment, an international distribution company.  Represented the film “Election Day”, which Taylor produced in 2011. Chief Editor August 2010 Peace in Motion Film Course. Irvine, CA.  Paid position as chief Final Cut Pro editor.  Mentored underprivileged children, developed and taught a film curriculum. Documentary Filmmaker September 2010-December 2010 Community Voices Documentary Program. Orange, CA.  Produced a film for a local non-profit committed to seeking solutions to end domestic violence and human trafficking in Orange County.  Screened at the LA Awareness Festival. Documentary Post Production Intern January 2010-April 2010 Silverbridge Productions. Santa Monica, CA.  Assisted in the production of a documentary series for PBS, “God In America.”  Managed FilemakerPro, obtained Archival footage, and generated transcriptions. Documentary Filmmaker June 2009 International Documentary Filmmaking Program. Orange, CA.  Granted scholarship into a highly selective International Film program.  Worked with a small team to make documentaries in Cameroon, Africa, for NonGovernment Organizations in the human rights field.  The documentary, Notre Joi Notre Vie, aired on PBS in the Spring of 2010.

Leadership Activities

President/Founder September 2008-January 2011 Invisible Children Club • Managed weekly club meetings, organized fundraisers, planned club events, coordinated directly with Invisible Children Inc. Alpha Phi women’s Fraternity September 2008-Present  Provide community service for Cardiac Care and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
