This poster was designed by Taylor DellaPenna, Spencerport New York, taylordellapennadesigns.com.
It’s that time of year, time to vote. I first drew this poster using only a pencil. The pencil drawing was created on a standard size paper, that was scanned onto the computer. When the pencil drawing was finished, I then used that idea to create a poster in Adobe Illustrator. I kept the same design, but vectorized it and changed the colors. I also added in a bird standing on one of the letters, this was to lighten the mood and attract more people to vote. I designed this poster to encourage everyone to vote.
For this project I designed a 2014 calendar in Adobe Illustrator. I kept a clean and simplistic design, while telling a story of the seasons with the changing colors and falling leaves. I used a classy font for each month and a clean, easy to read font for all the days and numbers. The designs on each individual calendar piece are vector illustrations I also created in Adobe Illustrator.

Sweet Sticks is a newly branded food truck. All of the food comes in the form of a kabob, focusing mostly on breakfast and dessert I kept emphasis on the sweetness of the kabobs using a strawberry in the logo and keeping the same simplistic classy design throughout all of the branding. I used a curly font for the sweet type and a bold sans serif font for the sticks type and menu options, keeping it easy to read . The logo and curvy designs were each vectored illustrations.
South Kingstown Education Foundation (SKEF) wanted their website redesigned and updated. I coded the entire site in HTML & CSS. The company was looking for a modern design that contained all of their necessary information, but was not an overload of content. I added multiple pictures to ease some of the heavy text and contained it into different sections making it easier for the user to read. I redesigned this site based on user experience and created a more simplistic site that is also easier to navigate.

For this project I used Adobe Illustrator to design each page of a website. I chose to design a wall decal website. I kept a simplistic look throughout the site, creating easier navigation and a more productive user experience. I used a clean and easy to read font throughout most of the site, but also added in a script font to compliment the flower in the logo as well as on most of the pages of the website.
The project requirements were to design cards for any chosen occasion along with matching wrapping paper. I chose christmas cards and designed them as well as the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. Each card has its own color and design that matches with the wrapping paper. All the designs were kept sweet and simplistic. The designs on the cards and wrapping paper represent modern design. I also used a script font to compliment each design.
The objective of this project was to take a book and recreate it from a design perspective. I put fabric on the front of the book to make it look more appealing. I also drew designs on the inside pages and glued in shapes. On one page I rolled different colors of paper together and placed them next to each other creating a pattern. I took the back half of the book cut a square the size of the picture frame into the pages, placed the frame inside and glued in the shells. This project was all about self expression, creativity and having fun all at the same time.

Every year Johnson & Wales University holds an awards ceremony in recognition of the graduating seniors. Thie graphic designers are asked to design a poster and the chosen poster will be shown and recognized at the senior awards ceremony, along with all of the award winners. My poster has a more pieced together look grabbing the viewers attention at the top and then working down to read the award winners. I kept a clean easy to read font for the award names and winners. I used a custom font for the titles and changed the coloring on select words so they would stand out. The poster was designed to be simple to read and yet still grab the attention of the viewer.
