Located in the heart of downtown Halifax, The Press Gang inhabits one of the city’s oldest historic stone structures, dating back to 1759.

Situated in the former farmhouse of an original Cole Harbour Farm, the Rose and Kettle Tearoom has been the heart of the Farm Museum for over 20 years.

Drop your anchor at the Waterfront Warehouse, Halifax’s favourite seafood destination since 1996!

Visit our famous oyster bar for a selection of Maritime oysters, succulent appetizers, and an extensive list of fine wines, scotch, and world-class cocktails.

The menu is a blend of old English influences, Nova Scotia favourites, and recipes from old Cole Harbour kitchens, all created from scratch and using the Farm garden’s own produce. Try our classic lunch fare, including fishcakes and baked beans, or our hearty Ploughman’s lunch. Our bestselling English Cream Tea is an indulgent treat anytime of the day.

ON PORTLAND

The Canteen, a full-service neighbourhood restaurant in Downtown Dartmouth, serves up chef-inspired seasonal fare for lunch, brunch, and dinner. After three years operating as a sandwich shop, The Canteen made the move, two blocks away, to a brand new space on Portland Street. At the helm in the kitchen is awardwinning chef and owner, Renée Lavallée. Her menus are influenced by classic French, Italian, and traditional Nova Scotian cuisine - with a little bit of Renée’s magic thrown in. Signature items include The Canteen Burger, The Crobster Roll, Seafood Chowder, and Brioche Donuts. Reservations recommended. Follow The Canteen on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for a daily dose of delicious food. Refer to website for hours of operation.
