Dear ISB Students, Teachers and Staffs, My name is Jon Jon March and I used to be studying in International School Bangkok. I have moved to Tokyo in 2009 and I am a student of Nishimachi International School in Tokyo. As you may know there was a 9 magnitude earthquake just offshore of Sendai in Japan on Friday, March 11th, 2011. The earthquake was soon followed by a ten meter tsunami. The earthquake and tsunami killed over a thousand people. Many other people need money because their homes were destroyed. Over 1,000 people are missing from the earthquake. The quake was stronger than the Great Kanto earthquake in 1923. Japanʼs nuclear power plant is having a melt-down and people could get radiation poisoning. Luckily I am in Tokyo far away from the tsunami and earthquake. I am safe along with my family and friends. But people in Sendai and areas in the North part of Japan are not lucky. Many have been killed by the natural disaster and over 10,000 people have been missing. Homes were destroyed leaving nowhere for some people to live. I am asking for ISB students, teachers and staffs to help the victims of the earthquake by giving and donating money directly to the Red Cross for Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami. All you have to do is to go to www.redcross.org. Click on Donate Funds box and click Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami. I hope you can help the Japanese who are in need. Thank you very much for your support, Jon Jon March
