Dwight D. Dunton III, Founder and President

wight Dunton is the founder and President of Bonaventure Realty Group. As the leader in Bonaventure’s business development, he sets the strategic direction of the company and builds lasting relationships with our partners. Dwight possesses a vast array of knowledge in all things multifamily, including financing, operations, design, entitlement and rezoning. Dedicated to his involvement in the industry and his community, Dwight serves as the President of the Central Virginia Apartment Association (CVAA), the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria, as well as, Chairman of the Government Investment, Credit & Subsidy Subcommittee for the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC). Prior to founding Bonaventure, Dwight served as Director of Corporate & Strategic Development at Franklin Credit Management; a New York based publicly traded specialty finance company; and working in investment banking. Dwight has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Dwight resides in Alexandria with his wife and 4 daughters.

Property Management


Christina Bolter, Director of Property Management

hristina Bolter joined Bonaventure in 2011. Christina is the Director of Property Management overseeing the operations of over 5,000 apartment homes in the Mid-Atlantic, Richmond, Tidewater and Carolina markets. Her portfolio includes high-rise, mid-rise and garden-style communities that complement a variety of lifestyles with market-rate, high-end luxury and affordable apartment residences. Christina has over 17 years of successful multifamily property operation and business development experience. Her market place knowledge spans the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast and Mid-West markets. In addition to her marketplace expertise, Christina has extensive experience in new construction, lease ups, acquisitions, renovations, re-positions and financially and Christina Bolter, Director of Property Management physically stressed assets, including experience with tax credit and bond programs. Prior to joining Bonaventure, Christina worked for Greystar, Riverstone Residential, Kettler and Trammell Crow Residential Services in the Mid-Atlantic region. She currently holds her HCCP certification through the National Association of Home Builders and serves on the Virginia Tech RPM Advisory Board. Christina resides in Fairfax, VA with her husband and 2 children.



Chris Cobb,

hris Cobb joined Bonaventure in 2006 and is responsible for all capital market activities for the company’s internal portfolio as well as 3rd party clients, including acquisitions, dispositions, equity and debt financings. He oversees sourcing and identifying direct investment opportunities, both on and off market, which meet the company’s investment parameters on a risk-adjusted basis. He is also active in the company’s 3rd party consulting business. Before joining Bonaventure, Chris worked at KPMG in Philadelphia, PA. Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University and a Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University. He earned a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is also a licensed sales person in Virginia. Chris is a member of the Young Leaders Group of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and a member of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC). Chris resides in Alexandria, VA with his wife and son.

Director of Investments



P Hyland joined Bonaventure in 2003, initially working on the acquisition of new properties. Eventually transitioning to a ground up development role, JP now runs the Bonaventure Development department. In this capacity, he oversees the site selection, entitlement, underwriting, design, and construction phases for new developments. He has been directly involved with the acquisition and construction of over 3,500 apartments. JP is a Young Leader member at the Urban Land Institute. JP graduated from Washington and Lee University, Williams School of Commerce, in 2003, and resides in Washington, DC.
