Part II 3° The State acknowledges the right to life of the unborn and, with due regard to the equal right to life of the mother, guarantees in its laws to respect, and, as far as practicable, by its laws to defend and vindicate that right.


On the 25th May 2018, the people of the Republic of Ireland voted to repeal the 8th Amendment.

This book is dedicated to all of the women and girls who had to leave Ireland to avail of abortion services abroad.


She is crossing the sea with the germ of a child she does not want to bear.
