How to download Form 26AS Via TRACES ●

Visit https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in. Login with your IT department username and password. (Register first if you don’t have an account). To login, enter the User ID (PAN number) and your password along with your date of birth before entering the captcha code. You will be directed to a new page where you will have to click on ‘My Account’ and from the drop-down menu, select ‘view Form 26AS’. Select ‘Confirm’ in order to enter the TRACES website.


Upon entering the TRACES website, you will have to check the box which appears on screen and select ‘Proceed’. You will be directed to a new page where you will have to select ‘Click View Tax Credit (Form 26AS) to view your Form 26AS’. Select the Assessment Year along with the format you would like to see the form in. In case you wish to view Form 26AS online, the format should be kept as HTML. In case you wish to download the form for future reference, select PDF. Once you have chosen how to view the form, key in the ‘Verification Code’ before selecting ‘View/Download’. The downloaded document can be opened by entering a password (your date of birth in DDMMYY format).
