TAMMY WOLF RACING SIGNS MULTI-YEAR SPONSORSHIP DEAL WITH MERCURY - CANADA For Immediate Release Milton, Ontario - April 28th, 2014 - Tammy Wolf Racing announced a multi-year agreement with Mercury Marine - Canada making the marine giant the title sponsor of her Formula 2 team. Wolf first teamed up with Mercury Marine - Canada, the leader in the marine industry, in 2012 as an associate partner when the team competed in Europe. Last season, the team moved into Formula 2 class and unveiled an electric pink designed powerboat which helped to shine a spotlight on Mercurysâ€™ domination in a high-powered, dependable low-emission OptiMax engine to millions world-wide. It didn’t take long for this champion to make her mark in the new class and series. The team won U.S. F1 PROPs’ Formula 2 Rookie of the Year, was the first runner up at the SST 200 World Championships and ranked 3rd at the US National Championships. ABOUT TAMMY WOLF RACING Powerboat racing is the most exhilarating sport in the world. Drivers, teams, and equipment are constantly tested. This is unlike any other form of racing, each lap is different, drivers not only compete against each other but they also compete against the ever changing water and wind conditions. Boats reach the turn buoy at speeds of up to 120 mph and in a split second; accelerate out to the next one. Powerboat racing is Tammy's life passion. She started racing at age 18 and competed in Formula 2, Formula 3, Formula V and SST 90. There is no doubt that she is one of the top competitors in North America. Tammy is the first and only Canadian to compete at the world famous 24 Heures de Rouen (24 Hours of Rouen) in France. Her all-female team finished 4th in Formula 2 and 9th overall, beating several Formula 1 teams.
