Communications is always encouraging. Energizing to me is the young people who are coming up in the church. What motivates me is a Pastor who is truly a shepherd. A Pastor who loves the Lord and the church he/she has been called to serve. Visitation to shutins and older members motivate me

Only God truly knows the heart of his people.

Mar 15, 2012 6:54 PM

2

It seems to my wife and myself that we are kidding ourselves. I passionately hate being without hope for our congregation. It rather reminds me of a quote by Kierkegaard "a despair that does not even know it is despairing.

There is appears to be an increase interest in the Sunday School, yet there is very little root in basic Biblical narrative. I fear the simplest of test, such as name the 4 gospel writers, 10% success would be optimistic

Page 3, Q4. Leadership: Ensuring wise direction, administration and accountability for the community.

1

It appears the office of Deacons are ready to respond to need pretty well. There are absolutely no Elders to recognize direction. In fact when asked a few months back, the majority stated that the church to be without leadership.

Mar 13, 2012 11:47 PM

2

Board leadership is good though challenging. More new committed leaders are needed.

Feb 28, 2012 8:45 AM

Page 3, Q5. Worship: Proclaiming God’s Word through scripture, preaching, music and sacrament.

1

Scripture has been being put forth during the adult sunday school hour for a couple of years. The tide has been slowly coming in on that one. The preaching has been very weak. Music as well as to be expected. Sacrament - we get ur done.

Page 3, Q6. Cooperation: Bringing church members into greater harmony with one another to build community

1

Our congregation has two (Latino and Anglo) under one roof. We do pretty well in trying to blend, yet segregation is still evident. It is a stubbornly tough issue with cultural influences exerting pressures that only the unadulterated Gospel believed to be the best antidote.

Mar 13, 2012 11:47 PM

2

Excellent sense of community and working together.

Feb 28, 2012 8:45 AM

3

The Pastor is the Shepherd and it is a duty to help build the community in the church. This can be done with visits to members in the home to make each family feel as an important part of the body of Christ,

Page 4, Q1. How well do you see our congregations accomplishing these purposes?

1

No comment. Only attended last RCC meeting. Very first impression - Group lacked comfort with one another.

Mar 13, 2012 11:51 PM

2

Even with bulletin inserts and occasional newsletter articles, the restructuring is hard for the congregation to grasp and to fully commit to. With a few individual exceptions, the restructuring (to date) has very little impact on the overall ministry of the congregation.

Feb 28, 2012 8:55 AM

3

Email and Facebook communications is a great tool.

Feb 24, 2012 4:50 PM

Page 4, Q2. How well do you see regional conferences accomplishing these purposes?

1

Not enough experience. Seems as if only "the positive" to the exclusion of truth is the order of the day. Unity in unity ends up being unity in nothing. How can two walk together unless they are agreed (proverb).

Mar 13, 2012 11:51 PM

2

Our move to a new RCC will hopefully facilitate the above outcomes. To date, this has not happened.

Feb 28, 2012 8:55 AM

Page 4, Q3. How well do you see our whole province accomplishing these purposes?

1

Some individuals and a few churches are "on board". The majority see the restructuring as on the periphery of what is happening in the local congregations
