Pentecost marked the beginning of the Church with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is still in our midst today and indwells believers with God’s power. We celebrate with Holy Communion. All those who profess Christ as Lord and Saviour are welcome to partake. After the pastor has distributed the elements to each worshipper we will partake together. On this Pentecost Sunday we pray: Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me. Anyone who is interested in going on a mission trip to Staten Island the last week of August should meet in the Pastor’s Study right after worship. The Women’s Fellowship will have a general meeting today at 3:00 p.m. at the church. All women are encouraged to attend. Christian Education Committee needs to meet briefly at the front of the sanctuary immediately following worship today regarding Vacation Bible School. Men, Women and Children are all needed to make the annual Yard Sale a success. Please look at the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board today and see where you are willing to help out. The Yard Sale is Saturday, June 1. Items may be brought to the church only the last week of May.
