If we want peace on earth, we need to get an idea of what peace is. How could a world look like where all people have enough to eat, where rivers may meander again, where energy is abundantly available, where children can trust their parents and lovers can deeply rely on each other, where conflicts do not lead to violence, but are solved with intelligence and compassion?
More 30 years ago a team of pioneers around the psychoanalyst Dr. Dieter Duhm, the theologian Sabine Lichtenfels and the physicist Charly Rainer Ehrenpreis came together to create a model for a future world society in which peace is manifested and can be experienced as convincing and generalizable as possible. This led to the foundation of the Peace Research Center Tamera in the Alentejo in Portugal in 1995 with its international network.
The book gives an insight into the current status of the work of this project based on three key areas: permaculture and water landscape, solar technology and peace education.
