The Dime Notes David Horniblow clarinet Andrew Oliver piano Dave Kelbie rhythm guitar/gitâr rhythm Tom Wheatley acoustic bass/bas acwstig The Dime Notes dig back into the blues-drenched sounds of clarinetdriven 1920’s New Orleans jazz, unearthing a repertoire of stomps, blueses, and forgotten gems of the era from musicians such as Johnny Dodds, Jelly Roll Morton and Red Nichols. The Dime Notes present a fresh take on a timeless style, emphasising the propulsive grooves and sultry melodies which made early jazz revolutionary, controversial, and wildly popular. Mae’r band, The Dime Notes, yn mynd yn ôl at seiniau cerddoriaeth jazz New Orleans yn y 1920au, gan ddod â repertoire o stompiau, canu’r blues, a pherlau angof o’r oes gan gerddorion fel Johnny Dodds, Jelly Roll Morton a Red Nichols. Mae’r Dime Notes yn cyflwyno steil bythol mewn ffordd newydd, gan bwysleisio’r rhigolau gyriannol a’r alawon nwydus a arweiniodd at gerddoriaeth jazz gynnar chwyldroadol, ddadleuol, a hynod boblogaidd. “Inspired.” SUNDAY TIMES “Lovingly curated examples of great music from the ancestral repertoire of jazz.” JAZZ DA GAMA £13 Concessions/Gostyngiadau £11

Terra Firma Choreography by / Coreograffi gan Caroline Finn, Marcos Morau and Mario Bermudez Gil Terra Firma tells stories drawn from the very ground on which we build our communities; Folk is a vintage fairy-tale, set in a rich fantastical world under the boughs of an upside-down tree, as darkly whimsical as it is enchanting. Tundra is a barren landscape where ultra-modern creativity blinks into life and tears pages from Russian folk dance and revolution. Atalaÿ is a watch tower from which far off lands can be seen from four points; a contagious dance influenced by the warmth of the Mediterranean. Mae Terra Firma yn adrodd straeon wedi eu codi o’r union dir yr ydym yn adeiladu ein cymunedau arno; Stori dylwyth deg glasurol yw Folk, wedi ei gosod mewn byd ffantasïol cyfoethog o dan ganghennau coeden ben i waered, sydd yr un mor dywyll ryfeddol ac yw hi’n hudolus. Tirwedd ddiffaith yw Tundra lle mae creadigedd hynod fodern yn dod yn fyw ac yn rhwygo tudalennau o ddawnsfeydd gwerin a chwyldro Rwsiaidd. Tŵr gwylio yw Atalaÿ y mae modd gweld tiroedd pell i ffwrdd ohono o bedwar pwynt; dawns hudolus a ddylanwadir gan gynhesrwydd Môr y Canoldir. £14 Concessions/Gostyngiadau £12 Schools/Ysgolion £8

Dan Hoyle – The Real Americans Award-winning American playwright and performer Dan Hoyle spent 100 days traveling through small-town America, sharing meals and conversations with union coal miners, rural drug dealers, anti-war Veterans, and closeted gay creation theory experts. Two Obama terms and 350 performances in a dozen cities later, this show, a wonderful piece of journalistic theatre, is back. Why? Because Donald Trump has made it all wildly relevant again. Come sit with the characters that made The Real Americans a runaway hit. Treuliodd y perfformiwr a’r dramodydd arobryn o America, Dan Hoyle, gant o ddiwrnodau yn teithio drwy drefi bach America, gan rannu prydau a sgyrsiau â glowyr yr undeb, gwerthwyr cyffuriau gwledig, cyn-filwyr sydd yn erbyn rhyfel, ac arbenigwyr ym maes damcaniaeth y Creu sy’n cadw’n dawel am fod yn hoyw. Ar ôl 350 o berfformiadau mewn dwsin o ddinasoedd ac ar ôl i Obama dreulio dau dymor yn Arlywydd, mae’r ddrama newyddiadurol wych hon yn ôl. Pam? Oherwydd mae Donald Trump wedi ei gwneud hi’n hollol berthnasol unwaith eto. Explore a patchwork of life in the Welsh mountains where bees, bomb disposal and autism are all wrapped-up in folk music to squeeze your senses. As wonderful as any bee’s waggle dance, Honey’s intimate story weaves together the lives of a young man, his mother, her tattoo artist sister and those that want to love them. Running time: 1hr 10 mins (inc. interval) Yn debyg i jar o fêl, mae gan y ddrama newydd sbon hon felyster, moethusrwydd a dwysedd.
