To stop spread of rumors that led to the exodus of North East Indians from several parts of the country, the government had put a ban on bulk of SMS restricting the mobile users to send maximum number up to 5 SMS per day. And now it has relaxed the restriction from 5 SMS per day to 20 SMS per day. The SMS restriction was worrying Telecom operators who feared 7-10 percent loss in revenues. The announcement is certainly a huge relief for the mobile users especially youth who extensively communicate through text messages. The decision to put a cap on the number of SMS was taken after reports of widespread circulation of SMS and MMS containing misleading information about Assam violence, threats to
The ban came into force after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that spreading of rumours by miscreants had led to people belonging to the north east fleeing from Bangalore, Pune and some other parts of the country. Noting that the guilty should be brought to book, the Prime Minister had said that at stake was not just unity and integrity of the country, but also communal harmony. “Any miscreant fanning rumours should be brought to book,” he said.

The term ‘dance’ brings to mind a type of art that involves movement of the body to a certain beat of music. It portrays the graceful rhythmic flow of the body’s movement to achieve forms of expressions, exercise, spiritual, performance and social interactions and is active in every corner of the world integrated deeply with each culture. The beauty of dance lies in its ability to non-verbally communicate meanings through performance widely seen in folk dance and ballet. exists the mythological cultural folk dances of Africa and the Amazon rainforest practiced by the various tribes residing there. No matter what style every dance has two things common body movement and flexibility. Each step involved in each dance form brings in the capacity of the human body to mould itself and take up new shapes synchronising harmoniously with music to insure the free flow of motion of the body to express forms of interactions and meanings. A world without dance would be quite stagnant. It is dance that gives free flowing energy packed with a whole lot of fun making it one of the most popular art forms in the world.
Youth is the spring of Life. It is the age of discovery and dreams. India is of largest youth population in the world today. The entire world is eyeing India as a source of technical manpower. They are looking at our youth as a source of talents at low costs for their future super profits. If Indian youth make up their mind and work in close unity with working class people, they can hold the political power in their hands. Indian youth has the power to make our country from developing nation to a developed nation. Is it a dream? No, their dreams take them to stars and galaxies to the far corners of the unknown and some of them like our own Kalpana Chawla pursue their dream, till they realize it and die for it in process. The youth hopes for a world free of poverty, unemployment, inequality and exploitation of man by man. A world free of discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, language and gender. A world full of creative challenges and opportunities to conquer them. Let us convert these hopes in reality. The role of youth is of most
