With a rich career history, Denise has worked in different sectors, from being a Recruitment Consultant for a large global recruitment agency to Business Development within a first tier accountancy firm. Looking back at her career path, she sincerely states: "Not everyone's professional journey is in a straight line. Learning and acquiring new skills is essential especially when you have to be multifaceted in business. She continues: "In 2014 was the turning point, I was working in professional services at the time and I really wanted to establish a purpose-driven entity. I had a strong desire to help people to grow and thrive. Networking was something that I naturally enjoyed, meeting and engaging with different individuals, sharing knowledge, learning from others as they told their professional stories and expertise, all resulting in great business opportunities along with amazing partnerships being created. "The only downside; I'd see a trainee or a young professional who was not overtly confident mingling with people holding certain job titles [usually director level] and were often recommended by management to attend and represent their organisation at the last minute with little time to known the type of audience they were going to be networking with.
