Hello, I’m Taegen. I’m a final year architecture student from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I consider myself a creative who experiments with diverse styles and approaches to design. A foundation in architecture allows me to fully comprehend the possible ecological, psychological and sociological impacts that designers should never take for granted. This contributes strongly to my interest for interior design as well as my passions in fine arts, cultural trends and fashion.

OVERVIEW

ZENYUM INTERIOR DESIGNING AND VISUALIZING INTERIOR PROJECT: COMMERCIAL DESIGN LOCATION: ALLENBY HOUSE, JALAN BESAR DATE: OCTOBER 2019 DEADLINE: ONE WEEK

01 First off, our client is a company that sells retainers and braces. As it is a small and medium sized enterprise, their office only takes up one level of the building that they are situated in. With lesser than 100 employees, they have requested for an open concept office so that employees could work together at any point of time in a relaxing environment. My overall idea is to create a lounge as the main space and a waiting area for customers to wait while the workers attend to them

DAWSON INTERIOR DESIGNING AND VISUALIZING INTERIOR PROJECT: RESIDENTIAL DESIGN LOCATION: SKYVILLE, DAWSON ROAD DATE: AUGUST 2019 DEADLINE: ONE WEEK

02 Tasked to design a BTO house in Dawson Road, for this particular house it was a 5 room flat. The theme selected for this house is modern luxury, With a family of five being the end-users of the house, a multi-generational family friendly space have to be implemented into the design. My overall idea is to utilise muted colors and metallic material to give of a modern luxury vibe.

SPACE CANNING DESIGNING AND VISUALISING EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR PROJECT: COMMERCIAL DESIGN LOCATION:

ROM, FORT CANNING

DATE: JUNE 2019 DEADLINE: TWO MONTHS

03 Task: An institutional building design is challenged to transcend from its utilitarian spaces and rituals into assemblies for shared experiences of a community that can encapsulate the imaginative and unexpected spatial and experiential forms. To explore a myriad of spatial experiences correspond with architecture that register chances to build socially engaging memories through spatial possibilities. To also propose a change for ROM For my design i laced both the concept of bonding over a party and solemnisation into the same building.

35

SITE ANALYSIS + USER SCENARIO The project, located in Fort Canning Park is surrounded by nature with very little vehicle circulation. Although within the 1km radius, medium- high rise buildings can be spotted. Many mixed use buildings and public spaces are within walking distance of the site thus resulting in high human circulation. The general public, mainly targeting families and couples will use this space to bond. As a multifunctional space, different activities would be conducted throughout the day

TH

36

CONCEPT DIAGRAM

SEPERATION: Two separate buildings would be used for different activities one for couples and the other for the general public

CIRCULATION: A purposed built road for end users as highlighted will be installed so as to bring convenience to users.

SUN PATH: In coordination with the sun path, the open space in the middle would receive the most sunlight.

S

S GREEN

SPACE: A centralized green space acts as a crossover between the two separate buildings

S WALKWAY: A purposed built road for end users as highlighted will be installed so as to bring convenience to users.

S STACKING: For the mixed use building, different levels would cater to different activities from the lower floor for the public to the highest floor for authorised personnel.
