Ban on alcohol and smoking in certain areas of the town (schools, sports grounds, bus stops)

Tábor – Buying alcohol and cigarettes is allowed if you are over eighteen, but there is problem that not every seller is controlling your age. In restaurants is forbidden to smoke at lunch time, or there are smokers rooms. We can smoke at streets except schools, bus and train stations. But there is again big problem that many people don’t care about the rules. We couldn’t drink alcohol on the chosen streets and if the police catch you, you have to pay an amount and if they catch you three- times you have to leave the city for two months. This city rules is because of many of homeless people who were always drunk in some parks etc. Denmark – In Denmark is high price of cigarettes and its illegal to smoke on bus station, train station, at school, restaurants and clubs. You have to be eighteen years old if you want to buy alcohol or cigarettes, but if you want to drink it on the street you can. If the police catch you drinking in a club and you are under eighteen you have to pay an amount and you are not allowed to go into this club for three months. Iceland – If you want to buy alcohol, you have to be twenty years old and you can only drink at clubs or at home. You have to be eighteen years old if you want to buy cigarettes, it’s forbidden to smoke inside, but you can smoke wherever you want outside. Luxembourg – You have to be eighteen years old to buy cigarettes and alcohol, you can drink wherever you want except schools and jobs. You can smoke everywhere except restaurants, schools, shopping center, etc… Victoria Maggipinto, Tomáš Čulík, Jana Zimrmanová, Aneta Mlčkovská, Tereza Okrouhlíková, Axel Falsson, Mie Tved.

Solutions: More often control by police, more expensive amounts, system of cameras on public places. We also like the solutions from Denmark where if you are caught, you are not allowed to go there again for some time… 2.

CCTV cameras into problem areas

Tábor – here are a lot of cameras, but there are two groups of person who have different opinions, one group have the opinion that cameras are good because it save people and its against crime. The other group thinks that its on the attack op their privacy.

Denmark – here are cameras everywhere (supermarket, shopping center, on the street, at school, etc.) and actually the Danish people find it an good idea because of the helps of the police.

Iceland – in Bolungarvik, they have only cameras in the swimming pool (its only for safety) and in the supermarket and also in other city. The Icelandic people agreed that cameras are good, but they don’t need it.

Luxembourg – there are a lot of cameras, but the opinions are similar like in Tábor.

Solutions: we agreed with it, we think that if somebody don’t want a lot of cameras he wants maybe to hide something and honest people don’t have problems with cameras because they don’t have something to hide.

Street culture (art performers)

Tábor – In Tábor we have some actions like Tábor meetings, beer festival and some next festivals, but here is nothing happening daily.

Denmark – In Denmark aren’t graffiti’s only in old houses where nobody lived. In big city’s like Copenhagen there are peoples on the streets who performed to have money, but its illegal, so if the police come the performers take their stuffs and run away.

Iceland – In Bolungarvik aren’t any art performers, but in big city’s like Reykjavik there a re graffiti’s. There are also no street performers.

Luxembourg – in Luxembourg, we have many graffiti’s, most of them are in skate parks, In the city are everyday art performers like people dressed up like statues and people who sing for money.

Solutions: City should support art performers, because they make the city live and different from the others. Give them some place where they can perform. There is maybe impossible to give them money, but place should be enough.

Discounts for students in different areas of life (sports, culture)

Tábor – In our school we have Isic cards, so we have discounts to swimming pool, cinema, on traveling, on sightseeing, etc… We are satisfied and we see no problem there.

Denmark – In Denmark they have student’s cards, too. So if you show yours card at cinemas, pools, shops, some fast food restaurants, etc… you get some discount like 20%. They think that is a good idea, because students don’t have so much money.

Iceland – If you come to high school you get students card and you have discounts in swimming pool, traveling, etc…

Luxembourg - they have student’s cards, too. So if you show yours card at cinemas, pools, some fast food restaurants, etc… They think that is a good idea, because students don’t have so much money.

Solutions: We all think that it’s a good idea for students to have a student’s card, but we could have more discounts, because as student you don’t have time to work very much, because of all the homework so you can’t have so much money.
