PRAYER WALKS March 2, 2013 @ 12pm IMC meets @ The Square in Erin TN

Spotlight Testimony AARON SCHENK Part II After arriving in Atlanta, we found ourselves to be socially dry and began to seek out the same environment that we experienced in Clarksville with the Smack Krew. We had become accustomed to being surrounded by people who loved us and to some extent, even praised us… so we thought. Feeling important and needed was a driving force for us. T-Dubb met a guy named Tyrell whom I later found out was bi-sexual. He was pretty cool and I was willing to accept him as long as he didn’t approach me in an inappropriate manner. He would later introduce us to a few other people, which fed our hunger for the attention that we so much longed for. It didn’t take long for me to remember that on my last trip to Atlanta I had managed to evade the authorities and I was under the impression that they had forgotten all about me. I would soon find out that I was completely wrong. T-Dubb and I spent our days in search of opportunities to get our hands on some drugs. It had gotten so bad that we would go for walks to pick up cigarette butts and smoke whatever was left on them, we’d do anything to keep us from being bored all day. After some time, we had a few people that we would visit, one of which was a guy named Hati. He supplied us with marijuana and in return we would bring him new customers. One of the customers offered us part of a get cash fast scheme. He told us that if we were to help him take air conditioners that we would get $50 for each one. We took about 5 or 6 of them and after so many hours of straining to detach, carry and break down each unit, we only received $35 and a bottle of whiskey. At the time we were living with a friend of my mother. Unfortunately, after a few weeks she told us that we had to leave and this time we were forced to come back to Clarksville and all of the warrants that I had acquired. Before we left, we decided to rob Tyrell’s house and have Hati to advance us $120 worth of marijuana of which he would never see a return. We loaded our stuff into a U-Haul and smoked marijuana in the back of the truck all the way back to Clarksville. While on the trip home I spoke with Mrs. Becky about how we had no place to go and that my mother definitely wasn’t going to let us stay with her. She made us a deal that while her and her family were gone on vacation that we could stay in her garage on one condition. We were not to let anyone on her property while she was gone and we were eager to comply. Upon arrival, we hid all of our belongings and made ourselves comfortable. We started the next morning off by smoking and after a few hours we became bored and called Mrs. Becky to see if only 1 friend could come over and she surprisingly said yes. Needless to say, without Mrs. Becky’s permission, before I knew it, that 1 friend turned into 2, 2 turned into 3 and so on. Not too long afterwards we spotted a policeman and T-Dubb and I fled. I hid behind a bush and after what felt like hours, a neighbor pointed me out to the cops. While sitting with handcuffs on in the back of the police car I prayed for one thing

only…….Peace.

Check back next week for Part III We are always looking for individuals willing to share their testimonies. Through them lives are changed & people are empowered. If you would like to share your testimony, please contact the Administrative Office at either CC or IMC.
