Attractions Rønne – the Capital and the main harbour is situated on the western coast of Bornholm. The town is quite small and can be seen primarily on foot. It is the type of town that encourages visitors to stroll around and leisurely discover the area by foot. Red-roofed houses and cottage-style homes and offices make you feel as though you have stepped back in time. The winding streets and quaint residential areas that make up this fishing town will no doubt charm you. Nexø - has the largest fishing port of Bornholm and the town is the easternmost harbour of Denmark. This town is the hometown of Martin Andersen Nexø. Here, the author (1869-1954) spent most of his youth and his works were translated into about 50 languages. In particular, he is known for his novel Pelle the Conqueror. Beside this, nature and sea are close to the town and right south of Nexø is one of the best places for observations of birds.
