MRL RED FORCE 12U Force 47Y has set up a good solid foundation in our red cowherd. He has always crossed well with the Tradmark daughters. Lot 1 is a good example of why we have bred them that way for the last three years.

Take note of the light birth weight that comes with this good haired red bull. He comes to the head of his class on his calving ease numbers and holds at or above on his performance scores. His El Tigre dam is a productive red female. We feel this attractive 47Y son will be a herd builder as well as a heifer bull.

KOP CROSBY 137W Two of my favorite red bulls are on this page. I really like the stamp that has accompanied Pittsburgh for much of his life. He has a great presentation and backs it up with plenty of thickness when you get behind him. Look at his numbers he is in the top 10%, 3% and 4% respectively for CE, B, & MCE while still holding above breed average for yearling performance. Pittsburgh has the makings of an all around herd bull.

His maternal numbers are at the top ranking him in the top 5%, 2% & 4% in his maternal categories. When you see him sale day you will find he’s more than just a bunch of numbers. He has a great look with enough frame to know he’s going to give you pounds and enough smoothness of build to know he should be problem free. You will like his mother too!

LOT 13
Meat lovers take note! There is no denying Blaze On’s resume includes muscle. His hip, quarter, and stifle are about as full as you can make them. His muscle expression isn’t confined to just his back third. Watch his video and watch the masculine expression of muscle from his shoulders on down his top. You get a lot of meat with your potatoes here. It’s not often you get this much round and maintain this much mobility. His Black Edition dam is a proven producer both in the pasture and the sales ring. Semex purchased her El Tigre son, WLB Eldorado 52Z 3615C in our 2016 bull sale the same year they also purchased Blaze On’s sire, WLB Bounty Hunter 365C. We are privileged to have a number of 43Y daughters in production including two El Tigre daughters(flush sisters to WLB Eldorado 361C) whose first calves sell as lots 14 and 15. One of our favorite young cows is her blaze faced daughter pictured in her three generations picture below. Watch for more great things to come from this cow family as we feel their just getting started. Lot 13 will sell in his entirety. WLB will retain 100 units of semen for in herd use only.

LFE BOUNTY 3118Z LFE BS MARY 26A MRL EL TIGRE 52Z JFRS MS 43Y Lot 14 and 15 are out of twoyear-old flush sisters. Both display a deep round rib that seems to be Bounty Hunters trade mark. To describe one is to describe the other. Their deep bold spring of rib and wide framework provide the setting for a deep soft sided appearance that is complimented by some serious thickness you will find when you do a full circle around these two. They are right in their front ends and wide to the ground on all four feet and legs.

Black Magic represents a lot of what Nancy and I like about today’s Simmental. He was born uneventfully right on his due date at the start of our calving season. Just another nice bull calf born unassisted and quick to get up and suck. Kick him and his young mother out of the barn asap and make room for the next one. By the time he and his dam went to spring pasture the positive effect of his mothers milk was becoming obvious. By weaning time you couldn’t deny the growth and attractive presence Black Magic displayed and what it said about his 3 year-old dam and the genetic make up of Black Magic. Note Black Magic ranked 3rd among his contemporaries for weaning weight with almost a 900# weaning weight. Black Magic’s top side is anchored by the $170,000 LFE Riddler 323B. Riddler breeds as consistent as any AI sire we have ever used combining calving ease and top end performance together time and time again. LFE GOTHAM 819Y
Black Magic has a stack of good females on his dam’s side. 391B, 400W, 365T, & 30R are still in production at WLB and all calved in February 2018. Each one of these females has produced a stand out themselves. 391B in addition to having Black Magic to her credit she is currently nursing a Go Daddy son that we will definitely be watching this summer. Lucy 400W, not pictured, mothered Obsidian Black 391Y who was our 2012 high selling bull going to Double Bar D who successfully showed a yearling female out of an Obsidian Black daughter in 2017. She went on to be one of their high sellers last December. Her dam, Olive 365T produced WLB 400Y (Muirhead Cattle Company’s “Bill bull”). if you move down one more generation you will see Eve 352N. She has long been a favorite of mine.

LFE GOTHAM 819Y As you can see from the pictures of her previous bulls, the dam of lot 29 is a very productive female, especially when it comes to producing herd bulls. Sure wish this tub of guts was a purebred instead of a 3/4. His blaze faced mother is a very productive, very settled individual. She’s goes about raising her calves without much fuss or fanfare and brings them in at the top of the group. As you can see, lot 32 isn't big headed but he is big bodied, being deep and long spined. Smooth as a new paved highway but still has a masculine look to him. He packs the scale down and I would think his calves will too.

You can most likely review every Simmental sale catalogue that we have put footnotes in and read about the positive influence the L205 cow has had at WLB. Here are four full brothers out of just one of her productive daughters. Performance comes built in on both the top and bottom of this pedigree. These flush brothers give you the opportunity to strengthen your heifer pen or add some bull power to your salebull pen. Their full brother,WLB Big Northern 4161D, was our high seller last year going to Lewis Farms, Sprucegrove, AB. These are the last bulls to come from this flush. Take your pick.

It was very tempting to retain this El Tigre son for our own use but then we couldn’t say to you that you are truly getting to choose from all our 2017 bulls. He is a blood brother to lots 37-40 as well as Big Northern, last years $31,000 high seller. 4212E is long sided, strong made in all the right places and very free in his movement. His L205/Black Label dam is one of our favorites. That’s why she was flushed which has produced this exceptional individual. WLB 4212E

We calved his fullsister this year and like the way their mothers attributes came through in her as a two year old. SS EBONYS GRANDMASTER We’ve bought a number of females through the years from Northern Lights Simmental(NAC). They have proven to be good investments. Many have put bulls in this sale before. Lot 48’s Absolute mother has put herself at the top of that list with this attractive and stout herd bull. His presence, performance and temperament are right up there with the top dogs in our bull pen. He’s one you really should have a look at.

LFE STRAIT UP 454W After hearing some of the reviews on Summit we couldn’t pass up the chance to pick up a Summit daughter. Simply put she is very comfortable with motherhood and very good at it as proven in lot 49, her first calf. He has the paperwork and the data to qualify for work in the heifer pen. But he’s good enough in his makeup to earn exposure to some of you top cows too.
