Autumn months

What are the greatest holidays in autumn? Try to guess them: 1. It is celebrated on the 5th of October. Children bring flowers to their teachers and congratulate them on that day. 2. It is celebrated on the 31st of October. People cut faces in pumpkins, put candles inside to scary the ghosts. People wear masks and special costumes. 3. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. The families meet together for a large meal. They eat turkey and cranberry sauce and a pumpkin pie for dessert. This holiday appeared in 1863. What happens in autumn?  Animals and insects store up as much food as they can before winter comes.  School starts in autumn. We see children getting on yellow buses and going to school.  Thanksgiving and Halloween are in autumn  We see fall fruits and vegetables. Apples are delicious fall fruits.  The leaves start to fall off of the trees. That is why autumn is also called the fall.  The leaves start to change color. They change to red, yellow, and brown.  The weather starts to get cooler. We start to wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, and sweaters. 
