INPENANG MAGAZINE

INPENANG MAGAZINE INPenang Magazine is a premium tourism magazine published bi-monthly, catered to both local and foreign tourists and distributed widely at major tourist attractions and hotels, shopping centres, cafes, hospitals etc in Penang, Malaysia. The magazine features the latest updates and different interesting topics of Penang, as well as various advertisers and Penang maps. From time to time, INPenang organises pocket events such as the INPenang Best Restaurant Guide and INPenang Christmas Party. Every two years, INPenang Awards will be held. Responsible for magazine layout, partial copywriting, advertisement design, wordpress updates and newsletter.

THE NORTH BANQUET 2016 The North Banquet 2016 - The Hosts & The VIPs is the first Red Carpet Gala Dinner in Butterworth, established to identify the influential personalities as hosts and provide them a platform to invite their VIPs, hence further promote various business industries such as tourism, manufacturing and hospitality to strengthen the economy and business opportunities both local and abroad. Over 300 leaders and guests from various industries together with the media and 13 Sponsors attended this Prestigious Red Carpet Event. 13 Influential Captains from different industries ranging from manufacturing to hospitality were honoured as The Hosts of the night. A unique coffee table book featuring both sponsors and the hosts was unveiled on the night. Also produced main visuals including both web and print, event logo, press releases, invitation card, t-shirt design. Responsible for all guests & clients/ sponsors correspondence.

ATAP WITH A BIG HEART

ATAP WITH A BIG HEART ATAP (Association of Tourism Attractions Penang) celebrated World Tourism Day with a series of activities in Straits Quay Penang to raise awareness of Penang Tourism among the young children and help collect funds for ACS Stepping Stone Centre. Visuals were created for pre-event publicity and press conference.

DESQUARED DESIGN

DESQUARED DESIGN Desquared Design is a contemporary interior design studio directed by young imerging interior designer Chern Min Lim from Penang, Malaysia. Desquared = D2, representing the main specialisations of the studio - 2D-detailing and 3D-visualisation. The logo was designed to display both identities - the lowercase ‘d’ and number ‘2’ are combined as one, housed in the uppercase ‘D’.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN ARTISTS EXHIBITION

PENANG ART SOCIETY @ 62 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN ARTISTS EXHIBITION Penang Art Society (PAS) proudly celebrated its 62th anniversary in 2015, featuring the inaugural International Women Artists Exhibition with over 90 international women artists from 11 countries participated. This book was launched during the opening of PAS@62, designed to illustrate the progress and success of PAS over the recent years as well as showcasing the participating artists’ profile and artworks. The watercolour painting on the book cover shows Penang State Art Gallery, where the exhibition was held. It was painted by one of PAS members.

GHEE HIANG TAU SAR PNEAH A new menu design was required to feature the newly launched product - an unique aromatic rose petal pastry. The process included food product photography. Ghee Hiang is one of the oldest brands in Malaysia with a history over 160 years.

3D MINI ME

3D MINI ME REBRANDING 3D MiniME is miniaturised ‘you’ - mapping one out in 3D with the latest 3D Imaging Technology, scaling it down and then materialising it using ABS, a type of light yet strong thermoplastic. A small rebranding exercise was done - a new logo which is relevant to the brand motto “Preservation : Technology : Matter” and a promotional flyer to be distributed during Tropfest South East Asia 2015.

Large event streamers were designed and placed at the event venue to attract tourists and locals.

Victoria & Armenian Street Project (V&A) is one of George Town Festival’s most anticipated programmes. The streets were transformed into a vibrant and lively canvas featuring myriads of exciting activities. A huge outdoor installation art was created to attract the audience as serves as the main attraction of the street party. Thousands of handfolded origami butterflies were gathered to form the logo at Lebuh Acheh, George Town.

DO NOT READ CAMPAIGN 2015 Do Not Read Campaign 2015 is a graphic design project under RINTIS Arts and Design Showcase [Research and Innovation Towards Integration and Sustainability], School of the Arts Universiti Sains Malaysia. Its objective is to raise reading awareness and cultivate reading culture among the younger generation. Campaign branding identity, creative tools, print & online collateral as well as merchandize were displayed during the showcase.

The typographic element is clean and minimalist to reinforce the identity as a professional organisation. The graphic element is designed to complement and enhance the typography. It highlights the text without dominating over it.


Stop using old receipts, ticket stubs or any possible thing within your reach as a bookmark. The corporate business card is designed in a way that it is also a portable bookmark, which is highly convenient and user-friendly.
