Ground Floor

This exhibit is a blended projection with the approximate dimensions 5000mm x 1600mm (3375 x 1080 pixels). Two 4,000 lumen ultra-short throw laser projectors are mounted at high level with video content from two local HD brightsigns. Each projector displays a 2844mm by 1600mm image which is soft-edge blended with a blend area of approximately 688mm (465 pixels). Note that the projector's native resolution is 16:10, while the media is 16:9. This exhibit has no audio. A 5-port network switch has been installed at high level to allow for control of the UST projectors and media players through the rack-mounted Crestron CP3 show control. Due to the air conditioning duct and the acoustic panels that are mounted in front of the projected wall it has been necessary to install a structure that will support the projectors without clashing with the other objects: 6 pieces of M10 threaded rod drop from the three purlins at high level and support 2 pieces of 21mm unistrut that run at each side of the pipe. 3 long pieces of unistrut run across these and hold a number of rod pieces from which the custom projector plates hang.

This exhibit is a projection with the approximate dimensions 2000mm x 1125mm (1920x 1080 pixels). A 4,000 lumen ultra-short throw laser projector is mounted at high level just below the false ceiling. The projector receives its content form a local HD Brightsign. This exhibit has no audio. Cat6 data cabling at high level allows for control of the UST projector and the media player through the rack-mounted show control. There are a number of cable trays above the ceiling that difficult mounting the projector on a pole. To avoid these, a structure has been installed that allows the projector to be mounted at high level without clashing with the objects. For more details see the projection drawing.

This exhibit consists of two interactive audio stations. A custom period telephone rings when the sonar sensor mounted within setworks detects movement within a certain range. When the phone is picked up, the ringing stops and an audio file is played over the telephone speaker. This file prompts the user to press the period push-button, which triggers an "alarm" audio file over the local setwork speaker. Following the alarm, the visitor is played another message over the telephone speaker. The custom telephones include a connector block on the rear of the phone that has a line input for the speaker earpiece, an relay to know when the telephone is picked up, a 12v DC input to power the amplifier and a connection to the solenoids in the phone to physically generate the ringing sound. As shown on the image, the left channel of the Mac Mini feeds into the amplifier mounted within the custom speaker and the right channel into the local speaker amplifier. The interactive PC is in turn be connected to the Phidget interface, which allows it to collate the information from all the available sensors and switches. A custom PDU unit had been provided to allow the custom telephone to ring when the Phidget boards instructs it to. There is a single floor box underneath each island to provide control over each interactive computer through the rack-mounted Crestron CP3 show control.

This exhibit consists of three 15.6" capacitive touchscreens mounted within setworks along with three interactive Mac Minis. Additionally, a total of 48 magnetic contact switches are embedded inside the bunker table and connected to three Phidget interface boards, which in turn connect to the appropriate Mac Mini. This gives an additional level of interactivity by allowing visitors to move physical objects with embedded magnets to specific positions on the table, triggering events in the software. The 16 magnetic switches associated to each touchscreen have been laid out as shown on the attached drawings. Each touchscreen is mounted along with a 1940s custom made headset which receives its audio from a headset amplifier fed from the local Mac Mini. The headset connector and plug are mounted on the side of each touchscreen along with a cable clamp to reduce the strain on the connector. The cable must be pulled through the clamp upwards to reduce damage. A spare period headset has been specified to prevent the exhibit from not running if an existing headset is damaged. There is a single floor box underneath the Bunker Table containing two data and two power outlets. A 5-port network switch allows for control of the three interactive computers through the rackmounted Crestron CP3 show control.

Equipment Maintenance PROJECTORS

Always make sure the projector is powered down before servicing or cleaning. Ensure the projector isn't moved during the process. Housing Use a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent to clean the display housing. Do not block the ventilation slots and openings on the projector, make sure the projector isn't moved during the cleaning process. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes or solvents to clean the projector. Lens To clean the lens softly wipe it with a cleaning cloth that contains a small amount of non-abrasive camera/lens cleaner, avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner. Abrasive cleaners, solvents, or other harsh chemicals might scratch the surface of the lens. Do not rub the lens with harsh materials or subject the lens to shocks, as it can easily become damaged. Air Filter When a warning messages is displayed and the filter indicator flashes orange, clean the air filter and the air intake vent. If dust collects on the air filter, it can cause the internal temperature of the projector to rise, and this can lead to problems with operation and shorten the optical engine's service life. Clean the air filter immediately when the message is displayed. Do not rinse the air filter in water. Do not use detergents or solvents. When using a brush for cleaning, use one with long soft bristles, and brush it lightly. If it is brushed too strongly, dust will be ground into the air filter and cannot be removed. Please refer to the projector's User Manual in the enclosed folder for filter changing procedures. Lamp Please refer to the projector's User Manual in the enclosed folder for lamp changing procedures.

Š SYSCO 2018

LCD DISPLAYS

The screen surface should be periodically cleaned using a dry lint free non-abrasive cloth. The chassis or frame of the screen can be carefully cleaned using a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent solution. Please refer to the screen's User Manuals in the enclosed folder for further information on cleaning procedures. Do not use any of the following types of solvents / materials during the cleaning process: Paper towel / tissue paper, Thinners, Benzene, Spray cleaner, Wax, Abrasive cleaning pastes, Acid or Alkaline solvents. Do not spray water or detergent directly on the product Warning If any materials or liquids such as water are dropped into the monitor when cleaning, you should immediately disconnect the power cable and contact Sysco Productions for advice and/or service.

AV RACKS It is strongly recommended that any maintenance within the control rack is carried out by Sysco Productions personnel. Care should be taken to ensure all doors and side panels are correctly installed / closed at all times to reduce the ingress of dust over prolonged periods. The rooms in which the Control Racks are situated should be cleaned periodically with a vacuum device to reduce the quantity of airborne dust particles. No connections or terminals should be installed/de-installed except by qualified personnel. The rack cabinet should be periodically dusted using a dry cloth

J0726 Skellon Studio Battle of the Britain Bunker

Show Control Spec Show Control Overview The Battle of Britain bunker exhibition is controlled through the Crestron CP3 unit located in the lower ground floor AV rack. This unit can be accessed remotely through the Admin PC and controlled with the 7" touch panel wall-mounted in that rack room. The system offers control over the exhibition status, the system scheduler, the media players, the interactive computers and the laser projectors.

Show Control Operation Main operation of the system is done through the Crestron touch panel found in the rack room. When the system is powered up the user is presented with the Home Screen shown in Panel 1.0, which gives access the Show Control Screen shown in Panel 2.0. The vertical list on the left hand side scrolls up and down, giving access to the different available screens from which the user can adjust and control various settings of the system.
