POLYCARBONATE Is a thermoplastic resin and the lens is manufactured by pouring the material into metal moulds at high pressures and temperatures. It has excellent anti-impact properties which make it ideal for sports and industrial uses. The high resilience and high refractive index of Polycarbonate compared to other materials are the reasons for the growth and popularity. Thus, polycarbonate is perfectly suited for use in dual eye applications, masks, shields and rames with high base curves or complex designs.

NYLON This light and fashionable material is the response to eyeglass manufacturers of the fashion sector. Moreover, due to enhanced flexibility, Nylon is an excellent choice for difficult lens cuts as tensions and “cracking” can be reduced in some frame designs. Lenses are manufactured by injection moulding and, like polycarbonate, are covered by an anti-scratch coating to improve their resistance to abrasion.
