Peruvian Pure

The first release confirmed for the Spring14 range, SX dropped a sneak preview of the first coca colourway in the form of the green and white Peruvian Pure tee. In traditional SX style, this garment includes the fragrance branding as previously made famous by the No. 420 Lemon Haze and Purple Haze designs. The No.28 incorporates the number most commonly refered to in coca culture and the Peruvian Pure, being one of the most sought after strains of the substance in the modern day. Most commonly known on the streets as Peruvian Flake, inspired heavily by Hip-Hop artist, Immortal Technique. “Made by man, not machine. The new motto thrown out there by SX, as all of its garments are now manufactured from scratch, tailored to the shapes and sizes highlighted by the SX team. Colombian Coca

The second design dropped as a part of the Spring14 campaign, the all over print Colombian Coca tee. The second colourway to drop is in a black and white print, incoprorating the pure white colour recognised with the substance. The Colombian Coca design was inspired by the previous SX designs relating to the notorious former drug baron, Pablo Escobar. Colombian Coca, another highly potent and saught after form of cocaine. For the first time since the trademark Crooklyn Dodgers camo tee shirt, SX have released two all over print t-shirts as part of the coca range. From the secret Parisian gardens of Le Marais, to the favelas of Rio De Janeiro, the coca garms will be instantly recognised by locals and will be an instant conversation starter.

An SX range wouldn’t be complete without some arrogant artistic weed references, would it? Having previously mashed up numerous weed strains from Purple Haze to Lemon Haze, KUSH, Chronic and White Widow, SX decided to add another to the portfolio of taboo designs. This brought out another famous branding edit, this time taking the 2010 cannabis cup winner, Tangerin Dream. The SX design team thought it’d be a slick concept to take the strain and make it look as though it was being sold in your local supermarket. After all, it’s just a plant, isn’t it? Again, manufactured by man, not machine. 100% fair trade organic cotton allows this tee to breathe nicely and is a standard chest size with a slightly longer length.

White Widow

Spring 14 is also the second anniversary of SX Clothing and it’s evident to see just how far the brand has progressed. From having Example personally show love for the brand online and to having Snoop Dogg throw up an Amsterdam Coffee t-shirt, the brand has already reached levels it thought would take well more than two year. Originating in Sunderland, the brand remains in its flagship store of Yakuza Clothing, selling alongside some of the worlds finest streetwear and lifestyle brands. The White Widow design was one of the two first ever designs released by SX back in 2012, so the brand thought it’d be a fitting tribute to celebrate how far it has come with a remastered White Widow design. The design was incorporated into the 420 range, alongside the previous Lemon Haze and Purple Haze designs. Again, tailored from scratch with 100% organic fair trade cotton, the tee has been uniquely designed for SX with the fashionable and comfortable long fit.
