Our student staff is working hard to get ready for SUMMER:10! We’re putting the last minute details on plans for camp, 8 high school fellowships, 6 middle school theme nights, 3 mission trips, and a partridge in a pear tree. Needless to say, we are extremely excited about what we believe is God’s vision for this summer and we don’t want your student to be left out! Aside from the great trips we are taking, I’m most excited about our High School and Middle School mid-week gatherings. Our high school students will be involved in ABS (ABS does not refer to anyone’s mid-section; it stands for Area Bible Study). ABS is a home bible study and fellowship where students gather at a home, spend some time hanging out, eating, spending a few minutes in a large group setting, and then dividing up into smaller groups for a short Bible study. We’ll provide three different ABS homes based on geographic location and age. At the end of each small group Bible study, each ABS home will gather for a planned fellowship (the schedule is inside). It is a great way for students to stay connected to God and their friends in the warm and welcoming environment of a home. Each small group will be led by a mature, experienced youth worker and will go through the book of James. We’re still gathering homes, and you can see the finalized list of homes on Sunday, June 6. Your student will choose what home to participate in and be ready to go to their first ABS on June 8th. Our summer mid-week gathering for middle school is a bit different. We’re offering a middle school only service on Wednesday nights from 6pm-7pm in the ROCK. Each week has a different theme and will be an incredible time of fun, food, and God’s Word (the theme schedule is located inside). Middle school, themes, excited youth workers = intense fun! Please pay attention to all the details about the upcoming events or check out www.switchmemphis.com for online information. If your child is going to camp, I’ll see you Sunday night June 6 at 4PM at our Mandatory Camp Parent Meeting. Until then… Praying for a Super Summer! Jason

Meet Jeff Maxwell Jeff Maxwell is the SWITCH Summer Intern! Jeff currently attends the University of Memphis and is majoring in Religious Studies. He is engaged to Rachel (yeah!) and they are getting married next summer. Jeff will be hanging out with students this summer, going to camp, going on mission trips, serving on Sunday mornings, and basically joining in all the fun stuff we’ll be doing! Here’s what Jeff has to say about the calling God has placed on his life: “The reason I live this life is to magnify and glorify the name of JESUS. There is so much that God has blessed me with in this life and there is nothing I want to do more than to shine His light over all nations! My passion is to worship Him through song. There is no greater joy that I get from this life than loving Christ, especially through the gift of music! I am deeply honored to be God's ambassador in this world. I give it all back to Him!”
