COZY hot cocoa

Ingredients

SERVES SIX

3 ½ cups milk ½ cup cream 4 whole cinnamon sticks ¼ tsp nutmeg 4 oz semisweet chocolate 2 tbsp granulated sugar ½ tsp peppermint extract whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish

Directions 1. In a pot, over medium-low heat, warm milk, cream, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, chocolate and sugar together for about 10 minutes, or until chocolate is melted. Gently whisk to combine. 2. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract. 3. Serve and garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

drinks & dessert 5. Whisk the cooled chocolate, brandy extract and vanilla extract into the egg yolks. Next, whisk 1/4 of the egg whites into the chocolate. Gently fold in the remaining egg whites and the walnuts. Be sure to fold egg whites in thoroughly so pockets of egg whites do not form within the batter. 6. Pour batter into the greased pan. Bake for 5565 minutes or until the cake is set. It will wobble slightly when you remove it from the oven, but it is done.
