This project has approached a sense of security and shared problems found in existing housing type from different perspective. The security is met by surveillance that is connected to the housing has been developed with the idea that is view sharing of housing. Accordingly, the residences and a new program has been developed from the view sharing like watching each other to sharing of space thus I imagine public residence which is a mixed each activities of the space.

This comparison of security condition between Seoul and Yongsan-gu shows the relationship between crime rate and numbers of CCTVs. From this data, Yongsan-gu is under the Safe place rather than average of Seoul, at the same time installation rate of CCTV smaller amount. Therefore, this residence area need more physical device for preventing crime but should consider about privacy and atmosphere of the community. So I suggest ‘Architectural Surveil’ for making safe atmosphere with community.

The existing Urban development process has not connected to the People and life in our city, due to the single function-centered development for “Commercial Town”. In the internal aspect, this development is lacking in self-sufficiency, while in the external aspect, this development causes imbalance in the Urban Growth, having a serious effect on the Urban Fabric. The Janghanpyeong Used Car Dealership lot is hidden behind four run-down three-story brick buildings labelled A – D, each with automotive-related businesses in their first floors and largely empty-looking second and third floors. Unlike at your nearest Chevy Super Centre, though, there was barely enough space to hold all the available cars. Vehicles spilled into the walkways leading through the brick buildings, and in the lot they were packed three deep, others parked perpendicularly in front of those. This project aims at creating a flexible space, which will serve not just within those few peak times, but can as well be used in some way the rest of the times. TWO OF THE LIFESTYLES THAT WE ADAPTED AFTER THE FOUNDATION OF ARCHITECTURE ARE ‘MOVING’ AND ‘STAYING’. Haebangchon was named after the liberation of Korea in 1945 when a number of people formed a village on the southern ridge of Mt. Namsan. As the country became modernized, an increasing number of roads and cars also started to make their ways to Haebangchon.

Naturally, This pact has caused a problem as people rapidly moving in and out of the village lead the village to become underdeveloped. It also resulted in producing issues such as air pollution from CO2 emission, lack of parking space and privacy invasion. This project aims to provide a liveable space that the residents of Haebangchon deserve while preserving the existing heritages of the village by restructuring the physical layers of Haebangchon infused with an idea of ‘Architectural Realignment’. For that I suggests that Car-free ground on residence area, those things would be able to under ground tuner with connecting to public parking lot, which is already exist. Also green house roof will be able to provide good envinroment for cultivating plants, which purify emission form the under ground and off green area to inhabitants.

This graph breakdown, what situation happen on heabang-chon residence area. The average value of NOX in Yongsan-gu has been marked upper level than Seoul since 2007. Despite heabang-chon is located near by Namsan mountain which is one of the few grean area in seoul, Showing that fact, It is occured from the heavy traffic on the slope road. The traffic has not only caused air pollution but also obstructed the passage of inhabitants.

Those of pictures are showing the physical problem on the area from the vehicels. Due to the proliferation in the number of vehicles on the road, traffic problems are bound to exist. This is due to the fact that the current transportation infrastructure and car park facility developed are unable to cope with the influx of vehicles on the road. To alleviate the aforementioned problems, the smart parking system has been developed. The market are examined as vehicle detection plays a crucial role in the underground parking system.

Positive road grade simulations yield an increase in emissions, and negative road grades lead to reductions in emissions. Generally, for the vehicle tested in this work, the benefits from running downhill are greater than the increase in emissions resulting from driving uphill. A statistical analysis is presently in progress to identify representative variables that can correlate the kinematic values, emissions, and road gradient for each kinematic sequence to better evaluate the effect of the slope.

A number of people formed a village on the southern ridge of Nam mountain. From the development as residential area, the original terrain of Nam mountain had been damaged. For that this area needed new layer, so I tried to recover the landscape with the original terrain for new layer.

The part shown in dotted line is the upper layer than present contour, so it is applied to the shape of roof. this roof means the recreated environment and it provide new living condition to residents of this area.


The new roof would enable existing building to be renovated more open formed programs. such as market, sports centre, community centre and garden.


The singular housing system is built for people who has worked on art around this area. Then, It will be able to contribute to the cultural level on this town.


Also green house roof will be able to provide good envinroment for cultivating plants, which purify emission form the under ground and off green area to inhabitants.
