BUILDING Momentum Dear Alumni and Friends,
It is an exciting time to be at SUU. The campus is energized by new and President Kendell and wife, Joan
returning students, faculty and staff. We anticipate an exciting year full of events and activities that will improve the education of students and enrich the lives of those who are part of the SUU community. SUU alumni are one of the most significant strengths of Southern Utah University. From you we receive advice, support, direction, and the energy and enthusiasm derived from thousands of individuals whose lives reflect the skills and values of the education they received at SUU. Few universities have a more loyal and passionate group of alumni.
We value your involvement and hope you will see some possibilities to become engaged with the University within the pages of this magazine. You may have some suggestions of your own to improve the University's programs and activities. We welcome your ideas. I would love to see you on campus and experience a rich calendar of events including football, soccer, and other sporting events plus some remarkable performances in theatre, music and dance. I am honored to serve as interim president and to join the T-Bird Family. Sincerely, Rich Kendell
