At SUU, 2010-11: Led the team in stroke average with an SUU women’s record 77.3 after competing in all 11 of the team’s events… was team’s top finisher in seven tournaments, was second on the squad in the other three … best finish was third at Weber State’s Wildcat Invitational, also finished fourth at NAU’s Mountain Shootout and had eight total top-20 finishes … best round was 71 at South Dakota State’s jackrabbit Invitational. At SUU, 2009-10: Led the Thunderbirds in stroke average at 78.1 ... competed in all 11 tournaments, was individual champion at the Utah Shootout ... best round was 69, also at the Utah Shootout ... finished second at the Wildcat Invitational ... had three top-five, seven top-20 and nine top-30 finishes. At SUU, 2008-09: Was one of just two Thunderbirds to compete in all 10 tournaments … finished the season with the third-best stroke average on the team, 83.4 … her 83.4 stroke average set the freshman women’s standard at SUU … best finish was 13th at the Summit League championship … best round came at NAU’s Mountain Shootout, where she shot 75. At Tooele High School: Claimed the 2008 Utah 4A/5A state championship as well as medalist honors at the 2008 region tournament … fired a 68 at the state tourney … a four-year letterwinner for coach Fred Killpack’s Buffaloes … participated in student government all four years, also worked two years on the school’s television station. Personal: Will redshirt this season ... this past summer she qualified for and competed in the US Public Links Tournament … finished second at the 2010 Utah State Amateur ... individual champion at the Utah qualifier for the 2009 US Public Links Championship … placed seventh at the 2009 Utah State Amateur … the Utah Junior Golf Association’s Player of the Year in 2007 … Utah Section PGA junior champion in 2006 and co-champ in 2007 … born in Salt Lake City … parents are Susan and Matt Palmer …. Major course of study is communications with a broadcasting emphasis.
