International Affairs at SUU With students as its highest priority, the Southern Utah University Office of International Affairs fosters globally engaged communities by supporting the exchange of values, cultures, and ideas in an effort to advance a more just, empathic, and prosperous world. The Division is comprised of several departments, staff, and services which include: American Language & Culture Center (ALCC)

International Recruitment Recruits globally diverse and talented students from around the world.

International Student and Scholar Services

Learning Abroad

Facilitates a wide array of support services designed to promote the academic and social success of international students and scholars. Short Term Programs and Homestay

2017

Coordinates SUU’s study abroad and exchange programs as well as students’ Global EDGE projects.

Confucius Institute

Provides global connections that allow students to experience America in a more immersive, personal way.

Fall

Provides language and culture support to students and community members for whom English is a second language.

Promotes Chinese language and culture on campus and in the region.

International Affairs Student Groups International Student Ambassadors support retention efforts by planning and executing programs designed to engage international and domestic students. The ISA organization is intentionally comprised of international and domestic students and provides all students a unique opportunity to be more culturally aware and engaged. The Volunteers with International Students and Scholars (VISAS) program matches international students with US Students for English conversation practice and cultural exchange. All international students are eligible to join the program and make friends.
