The Perennials Difference
and yarns is a good thing. Our fixation results in technically superior yarns that are easy to clean and resistant to UV rays. The crazy thing is that these power-packed performance yarns are surprisingly soft to the touch. The Perennials design team creates designs in studio, and also collaborates with leading designers to make sure our rugs look as good as they perform. Perennials’ yarns begin as a liquid acrylic polymer solution. The solution is injected with pigments, then extruded, aligned, stretched, crimped and cut into fibers that resemble natural cotton. Because pigments are added while in a liquid state, the entire fiber is permeated with color from surface to core. These acrylic fibers are then spun into yarns (and then woven into rugs) that stand up to the elements better than other performance yarns. Compared to other performance synthetics, Perennials 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarns offer a more natural look and feel, and they have an inherent resistance to ultraviolet degradation and stains. Simply said, there is no better high-performance fiber than Perennials 100% solution-dyed acrylic. The Perennials Yarn Mark below symbolizes our unyielding commitment to industry-leading performance and style, and it guarantees that your rug is made with Perennials 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarns.

Flatwoven Ideal for use indoors or out, Perennials’ artisanal flatwoven rugs feature exceptional designs, subtle color blending and an unbelievably soft feel. A tailored binding gives a clean finish to the horizontal edges, while the selvedges are left visible to showcase the craftsmanship of each hand woven rug. 23
Chenille Flatwoven Perennials Chenille flatwoven rugs offer all the beauty and performance of our flatwoven rugs but supple chenille yarns bring an elevated level of softness to our toes.
Flatwoven Rope Perennials flatwoven rope rugs are our interpretation of natural-fiber rugs, such as sisal and jute. We simply added 100% solution-dyed acrylic performance to the earthy textures and organic imperfections that these rugs are adored for.
Dropstitch Toeing the line between a flatwoven and a Tibetan knot, the dimensional structure of our handwoven dropstitch rugs combines low pile height elements with the subtle color blending of our flatwoven rugs for a lush textural effect.
Tibetan Knot Recommended for use indoors or in covered areas the soft, lush pile of our Tibetan Knot rugs will leave your feet begging to go bare. Each heirloom rug is hand-knotted with 80 knots per square inch. The dense pile features hand-carved details, with an overall rug height that averages 10 millimeters.

Each Perennials luxury performance rug is unique, carefully created knot-by-knot by our highly trained weavers. Every thread of every Perennials rug is created to client specifications and can be made to any size, shape, color or pattern. We offer suggested sizes and colorways for our designs, but with the help of Perennials’ Design Team, you can adapt any of our exclusive designs to your project's needs or create a custom pattern from your own artwork. The Perennials Design team reviews every pixel of art before weaving begins. Our weavers then bring the art to life using complex yarn blends and intricate weave techniques. You review the progress along the way to ensure that your final rug is nothing less than perfect. Our online Colorizer at perennialsrugs.com is a great tool for creating custom rug palettes. It's easy. Select from hundreds of rug pom color options found both in the Colorizer and pom box sets displayed in our showrooms. Then download the tear sheet of your custom color rug.

With so many colors to work with when designing a Perennials rug, finding the perfect match is easy. We have a wide offering of warm and cool neutrals to ground any space, but don’t overlook the fun pops of color that can really make a rug stand out. So grab a Perennials pom box and get busy. The actual poms will be more color accurate – and more fun – than the printed images for deciding your true colors. Our online Colorizer at perennialsrugs.com is a great tool for creating your own custom rug palettes.

Care and Cleaning
Perennials rugs are easy to maintain with regular cleaning. But sooner or later someone is probably going to spill something on your rug. It's happens. With a Perennials luxury performance rug you can live fearlessly knowing that all our rugs are made with 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarns. This makes them resistant to stains, fading and mildew and you can safely clean them with bleach if necessary.
Vacuuming Regular vacuuming is recommended to remove loose dirt and soil. Use a This will prevent the brush from pulling and damaging the surface fibers.
Spills Remove spills immediately to avoid staining, then blot excess liquid from the surface and gently dab with a clean, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if needed to remove spill. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and let air dry.
Cleaning with Bleach For difficult or set-in stains, use a solution of one part bleach to two parts water. Thoroughly rinse with clean water until all the bleach is removed.
Professional Cleaning Professional service is recommended for particularly tough stains or when onsite cleaning is not possible. Advise cleaners to use low heat steam settings to avoid damaging yarn.
Shedding Pile rugs contain loose fibers that naturally shed when first handled. This should diminish with time.

The Art of Glankoff
The Art of Glankoff collection reflects the beauty found in the works of artist Sam Glankoff (1894-1982). Inside his unassuming New York flat, Sam crafted his own artistic language with a unique technique that blended traditional painting with the craft of printmaking. Beyond the technique, his approach to abstract expressionism earned him a distinct place in the history of modern art, including entrance into the permanent collection of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. With Glankoff's art’s bold brushstrokes, primordial symbols and richly complex surfaces as the inspiration, Perennials parallels Glankoff's unique methods and materials with our unique 100% solution-dyed acrylic construction. Working closely with the Glankoff estate, we interpreted elements of Sam's masterpieces into four luxurious Tibetan knot rugs.
