CATO (Computer-Aided Train Operation) is an advanced IT system that assists dispatchers in planning and managing train traffic, informing drivers on the current plans, and advising them on the driving profile with the highest possible energy savings. With the CATO system, trains can run on a “green wave” with significantly reduced fuel consumption increased punctuality and higher infrastructure capacity. CATO has already been successively deployed in heavy-haul iron ore transports and the high-speed airport shuttle in Stockholm. Why a Sustainia100 solution?
