Putting a sense of pride back into Steyning. A group of people representing Residents, Parish Council & Chamber of Trade – our main target is sustainability and to present a floral display each year in Steyning. We also have our own front garden competition and several fund raising events throughout the year. We need people to help with fund raising, planting, and with ideas and publicity. Affiliated to the British BeeKeepers’ Association with branches in Chichester, Worthing, Wisborough Green and central Sussex. Monthly lectures during the winter months and visits to members’ and branches’ apiaries in the summer. Swarm collection by arrangement. BEEDING IN BLOOM

STEYNING & DISTRICT FLOWER CLUB

A friendly group of volunteers who plant-up and maintain the hanging baskets, containers and flower beds in Beeding. Helpers are always most welcome. Annual Garden Competitions and fundraising activities are held throughout the year.

Our aim is to encourage and foster a love and understanding of flowers and plant material. We enjoy demonstrations by professional demonstrators at the majority of our meetings. There are opportunities for workshops and taking part in flower festivals. You don’t need flower arranging experience, just simply come along, watch and enjoy floral art. SPORT & LEISURE STEYNING TOWN COMMUNITY FOOTBALL CLUB & SOCIAL CLUB Our local community football club runs 21 teams from u6s right through to adults and a Veterans side including girls football. The clubhouse, with SKY TV, is open every night of the week and at weekends. The first team play in the Southern Combination Football League and home games are on Saturday afternoons at 3pm. We are always looking for local clubs and groups who are looking to hire our clubhouse for events and parties or regular weekly meet ups. We have a fully licensed bar and catering can be provided. Vintage Years meets the first Friday of every month at the Steyning Centre. The A society for the study of local history in entertainment is varied - from serious talks to Beeding, Bramber & Small Dole through pop groups. Refreshments are provided. We research, talks, exhibitions and outings to also run an outing once a month, sometimes places of historic significance. Membership is full days but often half days. STEYNING CAMERA CLUB

The society is for anyone wishing to widen their interest in watching films. We show a variety of feature films. Membership is by subscription.

Steyning Camera Club, established in 1972, is one of the most lively, friendly and successful photographic clubs in the south of England. Photographers of all interests and abilities are welcomed. Activities include presentations, competitions, and workshops. Members also enjoy a variety of group trips to places of interest or special events, and can contribute to Club exhibitions in the area. Visitors to the Club are welcome to attend selected talks for a nominal entrance fee. The Club meets at The Village Hall, High Street, Upper Beeding, BN44 3WN. Regular meetings are on Monday evenings, starting at 7.30pm, from September through to May, and on alternate Tuesday mornings the ‘Coffee Club’ meets at various locations.
