Upper Beeding Primary School is an ‘Outstanding’ village school that was first opened in 1872. We offer a creative curriculum that enables all our children to experience an exciting, stimulating and enriching range of activities to enhance and support learning in every area. We have a ‘Platinum Sing-Up Award’ and value and support the abilities of all children. In July 2015, we were recognised by Ofsted to be ‘Outstanding in all areas’ and have subsequently become a National Support School - our Head Teacher is a National Leader of Education. We celebrate the learning and individuality of children through the arts and sport, as well as ensuring our children leave us as lifelong learners, ready for the next stage of their education. We have close links with our local churches and community; as well as having a strong parents’ association, known as FUBS, who raise money for the school to support our facilities. We welcome and encourage parents to visit and look at our school website to see us in action. Facility Hire CONTACT: TELEPHONE:

TEL: 101 (non emergency police calls) FOSGS (Friends of Steyning Grammar School) Friends of Steyning Grammar School (FoSGS) is a charity whose role is to encourage links between home and school and raise funds for the school. Fundraising: Our main event of the year is the Winter Fair. Steyning Grammar School does very little fundraising for itself, focusing instead on raising money for outside charities. Our funding makes a significant difference to students; the items we purchase would not otherwise be available due to the pressure on the school’s budget. The Winter Fair usually includes an Auction of Promises and a Grand Draw – if you are able to donate a product or service, please contact us at fosg@sgs.uk.net.
