LETTER FROM YOUR AGENT While the market is slowly shifting from a seller’s market to a buyer’s market, the Philadelphia real estate market is still healthy, with people selling and buying homes throughout the region. With interest rates hovering around 4%, buyers are still looking to buy homes in the area. The number of homes sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 decreased 10% compared to the same time last year; however the days on market for homes also decreased by 5% and the median sales price for homes sold increased 6%. With the overall low number of homes available on the market, this tells us that homes that are in good repair and priced appropriately are anticipated to sell quickly. Another $621 million in home sale transactions took place in the past three months.
