comes and goes is a work divided in two different parts, a looped video presented in the living room, showing a continuous movement of a machine and the text and sound listening in the balcony of the house where the sounds of the street could mixed with the voice. This work reflects the days lived at the neighborhood and that experience.

a cavala (the title is a game in portuguese between the word mackerel and cabala) is a video/performance donne in the streets of Porto and in his market, where two carachers holding a cardboard sword mixed with portuguese old texts of Almeida Garrett makes a parallel between now and the end of the XIX century.

The way these pieces fit together and carry on our daily lives, it is not constant and gradual nor predictable.

to say it would be to easy, it is a continuous action on a paper shoe box producing sound with a drumstick till breaking the cover, then turns the box to the opposite and continuous the sound for a while then leaves the room... it is a metaphor to the capacity of people of getting strength from the nothing, from the breaking and the bottom situations.

The action At this moment, comes of the experience of a first contact with the installation which contains several bricks, a bag of sand, concret, a bucket of water, a hammer, two cans of graffiti, a pair of gloves and a spoon. At the same time all the audience receives a text which proposes an individual and mental building of the action. The text it was an attempt to approximate what might actually be happening at the moment. It was thought to be stronger to create a collective effect of producing images instead of a real action happen. So, it is demanded to the viewer the will, in this case, in reading, understanding and building. the skin, the zoom of the skin and the Nancy’s sentence that refers to the exhibition Expeausition from 2004 and that resonates “the skin as places of existence events” and in other way, the without beginning or end of the Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizome till the roots structures or tree trunks. Everything binds, the events more or less present, more or less printed in that skin which is now the wall. A ladder to climb. A castle to climb. Two hybrid characters roam the historic setting of the city, playing in a naive way and full of nonsense. Not being anarchists they are not stupid. A parody on issues of sexual identity and politics.

An ambiguous figure, half ancestral with a hybrid folk comes to us to in complicity with the audience, build a libertarian ritual with humor and irony. Sexually, it will ask us about gender identity.
