Spring into the school holidays ARE YOU ready to spring out of winter and into the sea this school holidays? Discover some of Port Phillip Bay’s water wonders through fun family activities with Fisheries Victoria staff and volunteers at the Queenscliff Marine Discovery Centre. The spring holiday programme started yesterday and continues through until Friday, October 1, with a wide range of activities to captivate the minds of children of all ages. The Marine Discovery Centre’s aquarium centre will also be open during the school holiday period from 10am-4pm weekdays. The centre’s community education officer, Alex Giannuzzi, said the holiday programme activities focus on the marine environment,
providing an understanding of marine fish and coastal resources in a fun and hands-on way. “Visitors can explore the vibrant aquarium centre with the help of trained volunteers and education officers, participate in special daily events included in the entry fee and book in for activities such as craft, special events, rockpool rambles and mudflat meanders,” Giannuzzi said.
