This tour will be an experience of a lifetime, taking you to a land of contrasts and ancient places where history comes to life! Thurs^[y, M[r]h 13th Group check in at Toronto Pearson Airport at 18:45 to board the direct El Al flight to Tel Aviv. Fri^[y, M[r]h 14th We will arrive at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport at 11:55, where our local tour representative will escort us through customs and provide our transfer to the hotel in Tel Aviv. S[tur^[y, M[r]h 15th After breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head north to see the impressive remains of Caesarea, where the Gentiles were first born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. We will continue to Mount Carmel to see the marvelous view of the Mediterranean Sea from Haifa. On the drive along the Mount we will stop at Muhraka, to remember those moments when the Lord answered Elijah by fire (I Kings 18:39). Afterwards we will drive north to the World Heritage Site of Acre, an exceptional historic walled port-city from the Phoenician period. Acre became the capital of the Crusaders after they lost Jerusalem. We will walk through the restored underground Crusaders City and explore the traditional town dating from the 18-19th centuries with a well preserved citadel and beautiful mosques, khans and baths. From here we will be able to gaze in awe at the place Revelation 16:16 calls Armageddon. Dinner and overnight: Tiberias, Hotel Restal or similar. Sun^[y, M[r]h 16th After breakfast we will start the day’s journey with a visit to Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus, to take a tour of an excavated village dating from around 1AD, followed by Cana, the scene of Jesus’ first miracle where he turned water into wine at a wedding reception. In the afternoon we will climb up Mount Tabor. Our last stop will be Yardenit, where Jesus was baptized by John (Matt. 13:17, Mark 1:9) - a site for pilgrims who desire baptism in the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight: Tiberias, Hotel Restal or similar. Mon^[y, M[r]h 17th After breakfast we will take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, from Tiberias to Capernaum where Jesus is said to have entered the Synagogue and taught. We will continue to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount and then on to Tabgha, site of the miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. In the afternoon we will continue traveling to the northern part of Israel to see Banias, one of the headwaters of the Jordan River and site of the ancient Caesarea Philippi. Dinner and overnight: Tiberias, Hotel Restal or similar.

Tu_s^[y, M[r]h 18th After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and visit Beit Shean, one of the great cities of the olden days and an important junction from which roads used to fan out north to Syria, east to Jordan, south to Egypt and west to the Mediterranean. We will head to Bet Alpha to see the remains of the mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue, depicting the zodiac. Our next visit will be to Jericho to see the Isham Palace. Next we continue on to Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem, Hotel Dan Jerusalem or similar. W_^n_s^[y, M[r]h 19th After breakfast we will begin our day with a visit to the Mt. of Olives for a view over Jerusalem. Overlooking the Old City, the mount is partly covered by olive trees, cemeteries and churches to commemorate the Christian events of Jesus. We will walk down the Palm Sunday road to the Garden of Gethsemane. Then we will enter the Old City and visit the Western Wall, taking some personal time for reflection and prayer. We will visit the Temple Mount and the Davidson Center to enjoy a virtual tour, exploring the southern steps of the Temple during the time of Christ. We will continue into the Old City following the Via Dolorosa and walk through the Old Arab markets and Jewish Quarters, see the ancient Roman Cardo and the remains of Nehemiah’s Wall. We will end the day at the Garden Tomb, where we can celebrate communion and reflect on Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem, Hotel Dan Jerusalem or similar. Thurs^[y, M[r]h 20th After breakfast we will drive to the Israeli Parliament & the Menorah, symbol of the Jewish State, donated by the British people to the Jewish people in 1956. We will continue to the Yad Vashem Holocaust History Museum. The Jewish people’s memorial to the Murdered Six Million in the Holocaust during World War II contains the world’s largest repository of information on the Holocaust. Next we will visit the Israel Museum to view the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls found in the Qumran Caves and the model of Jerusalem of the late Second Temple period. Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem, Hotel Dan Jerusalem or similar. Fri^[y, M[r]h 21st After breakfast we will visit Herrodion and then continue to Bethlehem to see the Church of the Nativity, build by Constantine the Great (330AD). Then we will travel to the Shepherds’ Field, known as the scene where the Angel of the Lord visited the Shepherds and informed them of the birth of Jesus. Dinner and overnight: Jerusalem, Hotel Dan Jerusalem or similar. S[tur^[y, M[r]h 22n^ Day at leisure in Jerusalem. Late evening transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight on El Al departing to Toronto after midnight, at 00:50. Sun^[y, M[r]h 23r^ Arrival to Toronto Pearson Airport will be at 07:35.

The many faces of Bonnie Thomson include a career as an elementary school teacher and a busy semi-retirement, during which she gives music classes, piano lessons and serves as the Director of Music Ministries at a church in Scarborough. Bonnie Beldan-Thomson is also a writer whose work appears in many journals and anthologies including the best-selling Canadian book, A Second Cup of Hot Apple Cider. Sometimes her writing revolves around life in Alberta, Saudi Arabia, Scotland and various parts of Ontario; sometimes she writes about her travelling experiences in Europe, Asia, the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Bonnie enjoys her grown-up children and particularly loves gardening with her grandchildren. She is looking forward to telling them stories about her trip to Israel!
