"We delivered solid second-quarter results in a challenging environment," said Chairman and CEO Don Knauss. "Shipments were lower than our projections due to retailer inventory reductions and soft consumer demand in some categories. That said, the impact of price increases earlier in the fiscal year was in line with our pricing models. We continue to be cautiously optimistic about the remaining six months of our fiscal year. In Focus Mahabalipuram and Dakshin Chitra: A road trip The plan for the sightseeing trip was to start at 10:00 AM and yes, the Clients and the onsite crew were there on dot. Tony, Kate, Joe and Vaishali were full of enthusiasm as they met Nirupama and Adi, all armed with their digital cameras, ready to hit the roads. . The city roads had already started getting busier (lunch traffic). Kate, Tony and Joe were awestruck by the traffic rules of the city. They marveled upon seeing cars maneuver in harmony amongst a herd of cattle or people.

It was almost 1:30 pm and with our stomachs growling we decided to stop at The Wharf GRT temple bay for a quick lunch. The ambience there was breathtakingly beautiful; we had a table facing the sea and when the lunch was served it was delicious; the Clorox team declared that it was the best meal they had eaten in a long time. After lunch we went for a stroll by the sea before we headed towards Mahabalipuram. The leisure drive by the sea shore was quite relishing as the weather was perfect. Upon reaching Mahabalipuram our first stop was at the Shore temple where we arranged a tour guide who explained the religious and architectural significance of the structures. The shore temple is located between two Shiva temples and is a visual delight recognized for its architectural masterpieces. You will find the attractive sculptures of Nandi the bull while the figure of Vishnu is present in the sanctum. Then we moved on to see the five rathas where every rock tells a story. The structures speak volumes of the methods used in the ancient times to carve chariots or architectural forms out of them. As we headed back to the Hotel we chatted and traded stories about our families and experiences with different cultures and we all decided to call it a day. As recollected by Nirupama Balakrishnan
