On Dec. 19, California-based The Crack Shack announced that it will be opening its first Houston-area location at the La Centerra shopping center in Katy at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd. this coming Spring.

The restaurant will feature its signature bone-in fried chicken, according to a news release, along with fried chicken sandwiches such as the Coop Deville and Firebird, and fresh and hearty bowls.

Patrons will also have their choice from the restaurant’s sauce on tap bar, according to the release, featuring house-made condiments like ranch, Sriracha 1000 Island, pineapple mustard and Sweet Baby G’s BBQ.

“We’re incredibly excited to share our passion for highquality food that’s accessible to everyone and unmatched hospitality with the Katy community,” Director of Operations Dan Peña said. “Entering this new market allows us to form new local partnerships that foster the community — from relationships with local bakers, farmers and purveyors to support for schools and other organizations important to the neighborhood. That is a crucial component of our commitment as a brand as we expand, and Katy is no exception.”
