Alocal business corporation has expanded its reach and footprint in Fort Bend County.

On Dec. 12, Bluebonnet Nutrition Company announced that it has completed construction on its third Sugar Land location at 12639 West Airport. Blvd. according to a news release from the company.

The expansion cost about $18 million for the 128,000-square-foot facility in the Sugar Land Business Park, according to the news release, and will add about 200 additional jobs to triple the company’s current existing workforce.

Bluebonnet Nutrition is a nutritional supplement manufacturer of dietary supplements and nutrition solutions for people of all ages, according to its website.

It has been headquartered in Sugar Land since 1998, and has been undergoing expansions for the last several years.

“We are thrilled to support Bluebonnet Nutrition’s continued growth in Sugar Land and look forward to the exciting technology the new facility will bring to the region,” Sugar Land Director of Economic Development Elizabeth Huff said in the release.
