New Year means new beginnings for area businesses

Since we didn’t get a chance to put out a Business Journal publication for the month of January, this our first opportunity at the Fort Bend Business Journal to wish all of you a Happy New Year. And you know what that means, right?

You guessed it – even more businesses beginning to set down roots and make themselves at home in Fort Bend County as the calendar has flipped to 2023. It’s a tale as old as us, but we never tire of being able to introduce Fort Bend residents new and old to some new places to call home.

For some businesses, it’s new – period. Inside today, you’ll find a story about organic juice shop Clean Juice making its new home in Sugar Land for those who are looking for more health-conscious options around the area.

And for others, it’s simply new beginnings or expansions. Kelsey-Seybold opened up its newest Fort Bend County clinic at The Grid in Stafford, as the multi-use development continues to attract a diverse array of businesses to help make Fort Bend a destination county. Elswhere, Bluebonnet Nutrition recently completed an expansion in Sugar Land that will expand its workforce and help bring even more jobs to county residents.

Also inside today’s publication is a popular barbecue shop in the northern part of the county finally being able to begin serving its much-beloved fare once again, as Brett’s BBQ shop has opened the doors on its new Katy/Fulshear location. It’s bigger, and in Texas, that usually means better when it comes to barbecue.

So you see, even though the calendar year has changed, our desire to bring you news of new places to call home – or remind you of some old favorites. So take a look inside today and see what’s new on the ever-burgeoning business scene in Fort Bend County.
