Your friends and family have come to celebrate with you. Don’t forget to mingle with them! You’ve set up an amazing space that encourages your guests to chat with each other. You’ve set up a grazing table in advance, so you don’t need to keep popping back into the kitchen to fiddle with canapés. And you might serve the first couple of drinks, but then the bar is DIY. You’ve done the work, but once the party starts get out there and enjoy yourself. It’s New Year’s Eve! Reminisce with those closest to you on the year that was and start dreaming about the year to come.
A special thanks . .
Thanks to Jane Thomson and Adam Scougall, our fabulous talent for our New Year's Eve shoot. To Kate White from Katering for the fabulous canapes which looked and tasted amazing, despite the incredibly hot day that we filmed on! We filmed our video in a gorgeous home in Vaucluse, so a very special thanks to Kim for letting us use her beautiful home.
Thanks too to the amazing small businesses who collaborated on our shoot. Here's where we sourced the pieces: Artwork is called 'Moonstruck Ghost Gums' by the fabulous Andjana Pachkova. See our video interview with her in issue two! The footed gold tray and stunning palm champage stand are from Viva Madrid in Lindfield. Mirror tray, candles, frame, brass bottle opener, crabs and turtle are from Style My Home. The round bronze tray is from A Road Less Taken in Wahroonga. Napkins and gold cutlery are from Big W and the black pots and bar tables are from Kmart!
Lutfi Hady from Moving Images showed his skilful videography in this fun shoot, so thankyou to him for his expertise and calm nature that’s helped us through many filming days over the past year!
