PUBLISHER’S NOTE
Dear Readers, Now that the Florida heat is rising upon us, we can finally say that summer is here, along with all the wonderful experiences that this season of sun and fun brings. Days are getting longer, temperatures are getting hotter, and our economy is doing pretty great. The housing market is on the upswing and our local businesses are continuing to blossom. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy all the excitement that Tampa Bay has to offer, and it is also a great opportunity to get out and partake in outdoor activities and summer sports while the sun is shining. The Summer Olympics are coming to France. Are you going? Please send us an email at info@StyleToMe.com. We’d love to hear from you! This beautiful issue of Tampa Style features the Elite Doctors of our great city. You have voted on it and we followed your advice. Here is a medical titbit on the side: I read that the human body, except our cerebral cortex—the portion of our brain responsible for consciousness—is entirely replaced every seven years. Although this may be an exaggeration, it’s an intriguing idea. Red blood cells are completely replaced every 120 days. Skin cells are changed out about every 4 weeks, and the surface of your lungs are only 3 weeks old. Our bodies are in a constant state of rebuild. In fact, by the time you read this, millions of your cells will have died and been replaced with new ones. Perhaps we are obsessed with newness because we are constantly renewing. Our Summer issue contains fabulous content for both all, showcasing, as always, inspiration for a fashionable luxury lifestyle. We strive to create every magazine issue so that it surpasses the quality and content of each preceding release. This labor of love requires total dedication each and every day. Tampa Style is always at the top of the charts when it comes to being the most loved, read, and respected magazine in the city, we know that our readers are living proof of our recognized popularity. You can help strengthen our passion to keep producing this high-quality, fulfilling, and satisfying product by showing your appreciation for our efforts through your continuous support, as well as by encouraging your friends and acquaintances to join our list of growing ‘family’ members by subscribing to our magazine. Simply go to our website, www. TampaStyleMagazine.com, and click “subscribe!” or simply scan in the QR code below to get directly to the subscription page. Stay safe during this Hurricane season. A portion of all PatBO purchases directly supports Projeto Costurando Sonhos, empowering women to gain essential skills for employment and entrepreneurship through fashion. We had the honor of catching up with PatBO’s founder and creative director, Patricia Bonaldi, to delve deeper into her journey and vision for the brand: Would you walk us through your creative process when designing a new collection? I often say I’m a mix of ever-changing ideas—I really think everyone’s got a bit of creativity in them, it just shows up in different ways. When I’m in my creative zone, I love to soak up everything around me and find those little sparks of inspiration in everyday things. As a designer, my desk is a real collage of textures. I’m always playing around with fabric swatches, imagining how they might come together. What I love most is the process of layering them up, mixing and matching. The real challenge, but also the best part, is figuring out how to make all these elements work together— like blending embroidered flowers with different trims and textures. That’s where the magic happens for me.
What inspired your Summer 2024 collection and how do you continue to stay inspired? For our Summer 2024 collection, we’ve dipped into a blend of fashion and art with a good dose of nostalgia. Every time I design a new line, my goal is to bring back distinct vibes from the past and give them
a fresh twist. This time, we’re channeling the 90s and 2000s, infusing those years with new energy and adding silhouettes that are comfy, versatile, and chic. Our prints are really special—they feature exclusive hand-drawn designs that combine artistic influences with the music and trends of those decades. We’ve transformed these elements into unique watercolors and graphics, making each piece a wearable piece of art. Staying inspired is all about mixing these creative ingredients to reimagine something timeless yet new. Rumor has it, you love being at the happiest place on Earth. What is your favorite thing to do at Walt Disney World? It’s tough to narrow down my favorite thing to do at Disney, because every part of it is magical! But if I really had to choose, I’d say just wandering through the various theme parks is my top pick. There’s something special about soaking in the unique atmosphere of each park—exploring the exciting rides, meeting those iconic characters, and just getting lost in the magic. Every visit feels like a brand-new, unforgettable adventure. Are there any exciting new collaborations or upcoming projects for PatBO? I’m fully immersed in preparing for NYFW in September. We’re exploring various themes and planning to unveil something surprising at this runway show. Additionally, I’m excited to share that we’ll have an exciting collaboration with a dear friend whom I deeply admire later this year. Stay tuned for more details coming soon! From its roots in Brazil to its global reach, PatBO continues to captivate and inspire with its exquisite craftsmanship and bold designs. Lindo, maravilhoso (that’s Portuguese for beautiful, marvelous!).

OUT & ABOUT
The year is 1912, Spring has recently sprung. While some are preparing to stay local for social season in England, about 2,240 people are getting ready to embark across the sea, on a voyage to New York amidst the R.M.S Titanic. At TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition, you can step into a world of wonder, a world that takes you back 112 years ago to day one on April 10, 1912, when thousands made their way up the Southampton White Star Line Dock to board the Titanic, to day five of the journey, April 14, 1912 - the last grand dinner, and eventually, to the final moments of the unforgettable Titanic.
men could be found dressed in three-piece suits, while women would wear their most ostentatious hats and ribbon-belted dresses. And the Titanic, well, it was no exception. You are shown the many advanced features of the Ship, like the cold and hot faucets from a bathroom on deck during a time when not even all homes had such features. Or, the precise tile flooring that, for even a basement in Third Class, looked as lavish as if it were hand-crafted today. And, if you really want to get into character, you can even elect for the Titanic Teatime package afternoon teatime experience exemplifying the Edwardian tea traditions surrounded by elegance in the First Class Dining Saloon. The experience features a
Before you travel back in time, you are greeted with a White Star Line boarding pass that allows you permission to come aboard the grand Ship of Dreams. For a day you assume the role of a real passenger. Listed are your name, age, class, final destination and reason for travel, along with an interesting fact about you. At the end of the tour, you are met with your fate. Were you among one of the roughly 706 survivors, or were you amongst the 1,500 who unfortunately did not arrive in New York? You can embark on the journey guiding yourself, or you can opt for a guided tour, ranging in an hour to hour and a halflength in time. As you enter the hallways of the Exhibition, you may be greeted by those in character aboard the Titanic, like first female theatre producer on Broadway, Mrs. Henry B. Harris, or other artifact experts. And, as you step into each room, you uncover another piece of history. The Exhibition features more than 300 authentic artifacts and historical memorabilia. Some of the rooms are full-scale re-creations of actual landmarks on the Titanic, for example, the Verandah Café, the Grand Staircase, and the First-Class Parlor Suite. You are now a part of the Edwardian era, a time when innovations were booming and
at bringing you right back to the last night aboard the Titanic. The entire experience is 3 hours and it is well worth it. You are presented with a multi-course dinner, and a performance by the very notable Titanic personalities, each giving you a glimpse of what it was like that very night in 1912. My inner child was just as excited touring the galleries of the TITANIC: The Artifact Exhibition as I was the day I was on my way to watch James Cameron’s Titanic in 1997. And the experience lived up to the expectation. Near the end of the tour, you can even touch an iceberg that replicates the temperature of the water on that fateful night. In 2024, a handbag has more purposes than just holding one's necessities. They are eyecatching pieces that stand out thanks to their geometric shapes, unusual materials, and striking designs." Statement Earrings: Although statement earrings are always in style, they're going to get bigger, bolder, and more expressive in 2024. This trend includes large hoops, abstract metalwork, and vibrant gemstones, all of which provide wearers with a silent opportunity to express their individuality. Lightweight fabrics are being experimented with by designers to assure comfort without sacrificing size, enabling daytime and all-day wear. Sculptural Handbags: In 2024, a handbag has more purposes than just holding one's necessities. They are eye-catching pieces. These items stand out thanks to their geometric shapes, unusual materials, and striking designs. You can anticipate seeing a variety of intriguing silhouettes that defy conventional aesthetics, from hexagonal hobo bags to circular clutches. The newest styles in handbags this year encourage innovation and originality. There is a bag to fit every fashion personality, with options ranging from textured looks to blended fabrics and enormous designs decorated with striking hardware. Oversized Tote Bags: Moving on to something bigger, it's a piece of fashion that has saved my life on the go many times. Tote bags have made their way to this summer’s best accessories; going big is relatable now more than ever. With tote bags, the rule is no different. Everyone loves a good tote bag; the primary purpose is to just carry everything with you at once, yesss!!! They are reusable, strong, practical, and adaptable. Canvas tote bags are composed of durable cotton or linen fabric. It also goes with every mood and circumstance. Not to mention how helpful it is when we're running errands throughout our hectic days.
Bold Belt Buckles: The belt trend's comeback offers more benefits than merely a useful accessory. Statement belts improve body proportions and add flair to any ensemble by tightening the waist and establishing a focal point. Belts are moving from purely functional to focal points of outfits. Big, elaborate buckles with elaborate patterns or striking shapes are becoming more and more popular; they can make an ordinary dress or blazer stand out. Futuristic / Bold Eyewear: Wearing vibrant frames, larger proportions, and bold forms like the traditional cat-eye and aviator, you can confidently embrace summer. This summer, your eyewear should be a focal point that draws attention rather than just a functional accessory. In 2024, eyewear will have futuristic designs and technologically advanced frames. Anticipate seeing materials that change color in response to light or temperature changes, as well as eyewear with LED features and unique lens forms. These futuristic designs serve as discussion starters in addition to providing eye protection. Summer 2024 accessory trends include geometric frames, like sunglasses in the shapes of hexagons or octagons. Self-expression is at the core of fashion, so embrace your eccentricity and choose eyewear that really suits you. Double-Layered Necklaces: You can never go wrong when it comes to jewelry; simply keep up with the latest trends. Double-layered necklaces are the must-have item for this summer. Thinlayered necklaces were a common sight on the seasonal runways. Double-layered necklaces will help you stand out from the crowd. Take it a step further. Mix varying lengths to give the appearance of a longer
neck. The good news is that the layered necklaces will look amazing with whatever look you choose. Thus, you have the option of going traditional, denim, or punk. Vintage Revival: As fashionistas look to the past for inspiration, vintage and retro accessories are becoming more and more popular. Whether it's a mid-century classic watch or neon earrings with an '80s vibe, vintage accessories give contemporary clothing depth and personality. The vogue for retro items fits with a larger cultural movement that favors sustainable development and ethical consumption. This change encourages a more deliberate and contemplative approach to personal style while simultaneously challenging the throwaway nature of quick fashion and paying tribute to the workmanship of bygone times. Don't forget to change things in a way that makes you feel most at ease. Your style must be noteworthy; there's no reason not to refresh your outfit now that you know what's fashionable for summer 2024. I'm excited to watch how you accessorize and show off your unique personality! For these listed trending accessories, I highly recommend my go-to shops. All suites boast a modern, marine-life aesthetic –a light color palette punctuated with warm wood tones and pops of bright color– and private terraces outfitted with hammocks. There are one, two, and threebedroom suites; swim-up suites; and fourbedroom oceanfront penthouse suites (that accommodate up to 12 guests) to choose from. And the panoramas of the cerulean ocean are simply breathtaking. Their 24-hour room service is such a treat and among my favorite perks at the resort. Is there anything more sublime than waking up to a gourmet breakfast delivered to your private terrace? Mimosas simply taste better when imbibed alfresco with crashing waves in sight. ABUNDANCE
“
It begins with gratitude, the practice of recognizing and appreciating the good in our lives." By Natalie Smith
Abundance is a concept that transcends mere material wealth, encompassing a mindset and way of life that embraces fullness, prosperity, and the richness of experience. It is often misunderstood as solely the accumulation of financial resources or physical possessions. However, true abundance is far more comprehensive, including emotional, spiritual, and relational wealth.
At its core, abundance is about a state of mind and heart. It begins with gratitude, the practice of recognizing and appreciating the good in our lives. When we focus on what we have rather than what we lack, we cultivate a sense of sufficiency and contentment. This shift in perspective can transform our outlook, making us more resilient, optimistic, and open to new opportunities. Gratitude fosters a positive feedback loop, attracting more positivity and resources into our lives, thus creating a virtuous cycle of abundance. Abundance also involves generosity. When we give freely—whether it be our time, money, knowledge, or love—we affirm that we have enough to share. This act of giving not only benefits others but also reinforces our own sense of plenty. It disrupts the scarcity mindset, which is rooted in fear and the belief that resources are limited. Instead, generosity creates a flow of energy and resources, often returning to us multiplied. Relationships play a significant role in the experience of abundance. Rich, meaningful connections with family, friends, and the community provide emotional support, joy, and a sense of belonging. These relationships are a form of wealth that money cannot buy. Investing in these connections, nurturing them with time, attention, and care, enhances our overall wellbeing and enriches our lives. Spiritual abundance is another critical dimension. It involves a deep sense of purpose, inner peace, and connection to something greater than ourselves. Whether through religious faith, meditation, or a personal sense of spirituality, this inner richness provides a foundation of stability and fulfillment that external circumstances cannot easily shake. Moreover, abundance is about recognizing opportunities and possibilities. It is about having a growth mindset—the belief that our abilities and circumstances can improve with effort and perseverance. This mindset encourages us to take risks, embrace challenges, and learn from failures, viewing them as stepping stones to greater success and fulfillment.

l ot FLORIDA’S e n s e SUMMER FASHION c a TRENDS tch si l ho u By Omayra Bella
Bright Hues, Striking Patterns, and Unparalleled Comfort
In addition to its hot summers, stunning beaches, and vibrant culture, the Sunshine State is renowned for setting fashion trends. Fashion trends this year are being driven by an amazing fusion of aesthetics, striking patterns, and Florida’s indisputable love of color and comfort.
Bright hues and striking patterns have triumphantly returned in 2024, reflecting the state’s sunny sky and vivid surroundings. Designers are using colors that reflect Florida’s tropical flora, sunsets, and coastal vistas, all inspired by the state’s rich ecology. Floridians are embracing these vibrant looks, demonstrating that in Florida, fashion is about comfort and usefulness as much as it is about creating a statement.
“
This summer, expect to see lots of rock and roll-inspired ensembles, unusual eyecatching attire, and unique silhouettes in Florida.”

This summer expect to see lots of rock and roll-inspired ensembles, unusual eye-catching attire, striking patterns, and unique silhouettes in Florida. There are plenty of bold fashion choices that can highlight a person’s distinct personality and individuality. This year, I’m seeing a major comeback for skirts in the fashion world after years of neglect. Just as with jeans, pants, and shorts, denim skirts, especially midi and maxi lengths with a more feminine aesthetic, are becoming increasingly popular; slip skirts and fuller shapes are particularly popular. I used to adore short skirts, but these days I’m really into midi lengths.
Remember that being fashionable is more than just adhering to trends—it’s about discovering and appreciating your own style. In 2024, I urge you to look at these trends and express your personal style. If you are looking to catch any of these latest fashion trends you can find a variety of them in stores located throughout the Mall at Millenia. Omayralabella.net @omayralabella
Because of Florida’s constant sunshine, sunglasses have always been more of a need than a trendy item. But as of 2024, they are the center of attention for personal style. This year, the fashion landscape has been dominated by distinctive designs with geometric patterns, vivid colors, and large frames. You are aware of my passion for accessorizing, and what better way to do so, than with wild frames and striking colors!
The Swim & Yacht Wear fashion shows during Orlando International Fashion Week (Swim Week) have served as a reference point for designers and trend-setters. The 2024 show this year was innovative and influential. Designers presented an array of exquisite, functional pieces such as sarongs, cover-ups, casual-elegant apparel, and the hat with a wide brim - that is always trending in Florida. They also highlighted the return of the preppy aesthetic and the micromini pleated skirt, which caught the attention of all the fashionistas. Predominately seen were readyto-wear collections, especially in terms of color schemes. Sage green, butter yellow, baby blue, and light lavender graced the runways. Surprisingly, there were a wide variety of headscarves. There are numerous ways to style a silk headscarf, and nothing says “unique spirit” like one. Silk scarves of all sizes, square and tie-shaped, were displayed on the catwalks. In addition to being worn as tiny sarongs, scarves were also worn as wrist and neck ties and, in certain cases, as complete cover-ups. Regardless of how you choose to wear it, this is undoubtedly the season’s must-have accessory. The state has a vibrant, diverse fashion scene with something to offer everyone. The trends of 2024 promise a blend of aesthetics, bold, brilliant colors, and patterns, making it an exciting moment to express yourself via fashion in the Sunshine State, whether you’re a local trying to upgrade your wardrobe or a visitor hoping to capture the essence of Florida style.

This interplay of light and dark results in visually stunning pieces that mirror the natural world’s beauty. CELEBRITY SOUP
STARS WHO PURCHASED each other’s
Homes

CELEBRITY SOUP
It’s not just on the red carpet where celebrities run into each other! If shows like MTV Cribs have taught us anything, it’s that celebrity homes must be expensive, massive, expensive, located anywhere in California… oh, and did I mention expensive? Knowing how much income is required to be able to afford a multi-million dollar mansion, it should come as no surprise that many are owned by wealthy celebrities who purchased the properties from other equally famous names! Keep on reading to meet the stars who once called the same mansions their home! By Riesa Pascal
Justin Bieber | Khloé Kardashian In 2014, Khloé Kardashian purchased her 9,320-square-foot Tuscan villa-style mansion from Justin Bieber for $7.2 million. After six years in the house, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star made a substantial profit by selling her longtime home for $15.5 million to renowned YouTuber, Dhar Mann. Conan O’Brian | Kourtney Kardashian & Travis Barker Khloé wasn’t the only Kardashian to buy another celebrity’s mansion! After tying the knot in Italy, Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182’s Travis Barker bought their first marital home together in Carpinteria, California for $14.5 million. The two-building compound comes with 50 feet of beach frontage and was owned by beloved talk show host Conan O’Brien. Charlie Sheen | Kendall Jenner Even Kendall Jenner has followed in her sister’s footsteps. In late 2017, the supermodel bought an $8.5 million Beverly Hills mansion that once belonged to Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen. The $8.5 million home boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a movie theater, swimming pool, tennis court, playground and of course much more. Emily Blunt & John Krasinski | Kendall Jenner Just one year prior to the Beverly Hills purchase, Jenner had bought John Krasinski and Emily Blunt’s West Hollywood home for $6.5 million. Due
to various security scares including stalkers and burglary, Jenner quickly put the home back on the market and was even able to make a minor profit with a sale price of $6.85 million. Cameron Diaz | Ariana Grande In 2022, Cameron Diaz sold her Hollywood Hills home to fellow actress and star of the upcoming Wicked film, Ariana Grande. The sale price of $4.9 million was a significant profit from the $1.8 million that Diaz paid for the property almost two decades earlier in 2004. Ellen DeGeneres | Ariana Grande It seems Grande enjoys jumping around homes because just one year before the Hollywood Hills purchase, the superstar had purchased a Tudor-style home in Montecito, California that was previously owned by Ellen DeGeneres. Amazingly, the former daytime talk show host had only purchased the home a few months prior for $3.6 million, but was able to sell it to Grande for $6.75 million—talk about an amazing profit! Ellen DeGeneres | Ryan Seacrest Ryan Secrest has also purchased a home from DeGeneres! The famed television presenter reportedly paid $36.5 million to her in 2012 for his Beverly Hills mansion. In 2022, after two years on the market, Seacrest eventually sold the home for $51 million — a far cry from the $85 million he originally wanted in 2020.
Brad Pitt | Ellen DeGeneres It should be clear by now that DeGeneres is a sharp real estate investor, but just in case it isn’t, here’s yet another anecdote. In 2011, Ellen DeGeneres purchased Brad Pitt’s Malibu beach house for $12 million. Unfortunately it wasn’t a major profit win for Pitt who originally paid $13.75 million for the 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom estate. Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo | Ellen DeGeneres In 2018, DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi became the new owners of a five-bedroom, 12-bathroom Beverly Hills Tudor-style mansion. The posh, 10,376-square-foot home was purchased for $45 million from Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his wife, Behati Prinsloo. Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck | Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo One year after selling their Beverly Hills home to DeGeneres, Levine and Prinsloo purchased a massive Pacific Palisades home from the newly split Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck for $32 million. The property, which included a ranch-style main residence along with two other structures, was sold once again just 2 years later for $51 million.

Regardless of medical school class rankings, graduates are all referred to as “DOCTOR.” With this revelation, we should all know that when choosing a physician, one must accept responsibility for adequately researching the doctor he or she is considering. Within our present day society, most licensed to practice medicine are truly miracle workers whether they are completely restructuring someone’s face or saving a life. As much as we realize that every physician is an asset to our
community, we also know that some have established themselves at the top of their profession and are considered special; these are the ‘elite,’ the very best of the best. When seeking perfection, we search for the professional who has made it his or her life goal to excel within a field of specialization through many years of study, dedication and determination, continually challenging themselves to advance their knowledge; these brilliant human beings not only save lives but also enrich their communities with a skill set second to none. Beyond this and in order to stay abreast of the latest, almost daily changing
medical advancements, the ‘elite’ undergo rigorous maintenance, updating through seminars, conferences and advanced studies to keep current with new technology and procedures. The Science Behind Nutritional Impact on Body & Mind
By Natalie Smith
In today's health-conscious world, the age-old adage "you are what you eat" holds more weight than ever. While it may sound cliché, the saying encapsulates a profound truth: the food we consume directly affects our physical health, mental well-being, and overall vitality. Nutrition is the cornerstone of human existence. Every cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies relies on the nutrients we consume to function optimally. From energy production to immune system regulation, the quality and quantity of our diet play a crucial role in determining our health outcomes. Research continually underscores the importance of a balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and macronutrients. Consuming whole, nutrient-dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats provides the body with the raw materials it needs to thrive. Moreover, dietary choices impact not only physical health but also cognitive function and mental health. Studies have linked poor nutrition to an increased
risk of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline. Conversely, diets high in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to support brain health and reduce the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
The gut-brain connection further highlights the intricate relationship between diet and mental well-being. The gut microbiome, a diverse community of microorganisms residing in the digestive tract, plays a pivotal role in regulating mood, cognition, and behavior. A diet high in fiber and fermented foods nurtures a healthy gut microbiome, promoting mental clarity and emotional resilience. Beyond individual health outcomes, dietary patterns also influence broader societal issues such as environmental sustainability and food security. The production and consumption of certain foods contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, and water scarcity. By adopting plantbased diets and supporting sustainable agriculture practices, individuals can mitigate their environmental impact and promote a more equitable food system.
However, navigating the complexities of nutrition can be daunting in a landscape saturated with conflicting information and fad diets. It's essential to approach dietary choices with mindfulness, emphasizing whole foods over processed alternatives and prioritizing variety and balance.
Furthermore, cultivating a healthy relationship with food involves more than just physical nourishment. It encompasses cultural, social, and emotional dimensions, acknowledging the pleasure and communal aspect of eating while honoring individual dietary preferences and needs. In conclusion, the saying "you are what you eat" serves as a powerful reminder of the profound influence of nutrition on our health and well-being. By making informed dietary choices that prioritize whole, nutrient-dense foods, we can nourish our bodies, support our minds, and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
